The bartender on the first floor was very confrontational and nasty. I usually find the good in most places and people. Maybe the place is usually a good time; but I was so offended by the bartender I didn’t stay to find out.

Drag brunch at Nellie’s was amazing and if we’d been visiting DC for longer I definitely would’ve wanted to come back to the bar for regular drinks. There literally were all ages there (including two tiny kids and a grandma) and everyone was made to...More

Went for a later bite. Service was super friendly. Food was good and we had a good time. I had been there before for drinks. This is a nice place to hang around with friends.

First time at Nellies for the Drag Queen Brunch. The food was good and the performance was great. Very enjoyable. Met nice people at our table. The Drag Queens always put on a great show. Will be going back.

Decked out like it should be wall-to-wall jocks but attracting a very mixed crowd, this popular gay haunt does amazing brunch shows that include the first drink free, a great buffet and an hour of deafening but hugely entertaining drag in which the performers gratefully...More

So we needed a quick bite before a show at the 930, so we stopped in here. The food is typical bar food. Pretty average. The mixed drinks were strong and delicious! But, what I like the most, were the people! Those that worked here...More

If you're going at night I know they check ID at the door since after all they are still a bar. But ya they may let you still go just not order alcohol
