After having superior service experiences when dining at the Capital Grilles in Philly and Kansas City, my wife and I were very disappointed with services that seemed off for our table. It started with taking drink orders from us before presenting the ipad with drinks specials on it; we already had our drinks when he started trying to explain the... More

You can tell straight away this is a quality place. Was busy as you might expect, but we got a table for lunch ok. Had their signature burger and fries which were excellent and a side of sprouts and bacon that were amazing. Fries had truffle oil and cheese and were yummy. Attentive service and friendly staff. Well appointed inside.... More

i went there by chance and got a lovely table near the long bar an upmarket restaurant with dark paneling and very comfy leather chairs. The filet mignon was to succulent and it was worth the price, which is not low

We were visiting from Australia. I'd been to the US lots and had been telling my 18 year old son you have to try clam chowder, it's an institution! The Capital Grill looked like the kind of place that would do it well. They have all the wood panelled walls etc. So we started with a lobster or crab cake.... More

Hands down the best steak sandwich we have ever had. We shared a steak sandwich, a side of french fries and dessert and it was more than enough food. The service was impeccable - and the atmosphere what you would expect from a fine restaurant. We were in jeans and hiking boots and oversize jackets (tourists on a very cold... More

We made last minute reservations in the lounge for Thanksgiving dinner. Everything was outstanding. Not sure who the hostess was but she was awesome. I just wanted to sit and watch her work. She was juggling cats and never broke a sweat. It was Thanksgiving and we had a 7 pm reservation. The place was packed but we were still... More

The food was some of the best we had while in DC. We ate in the upstairs room and my burger was very tasty and my friends crab cake was really good as well.

Had a party of 12 and the restaurant put us in a VIP room. The service and food was outstanding. The steaks and other entrees cooked to perfection and our guests were truly impressed. Thank you so much for an awesome time.

I have dined at several restaurants during my visit to Washington DC. Capital Grille was the best one. We have been there with 10 customers. Some of us had fish some had steak. All were delicious. Sides were really good. Akim was our waiter that night. He served us really well. I think he made most of the difference for... More
