Went here because it looked better than Luna, but in the end not sure it was. From the street the Luna looked too much like a diner; but then the Mad Hatter looked like just a bar. In the end the Mad Hatter is a large bar with a separate dining room. We ate in the dining room, but certainly... More

Went in without reservations and were able to eat at the bar. Had brunch and bottomless champagne (bottomless mimosas are available) and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The restaurant is decorated with original Alice in Wonderland art - from the book - and is a very cool place to check out.

We were in town for my bachelorette weekend and my MOH brought us here because of my obsession with Alice in Wonderland. We were greeted and seated immediately when we enter. Our waiter as great, he came over talked through the brunch menu with us and got our mimosas started right away...$14 bottomless mimosas for 2 hours (definitely can't beat... More

Held the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding here in a private room (complete with a restroom). The fit was tight (30 people) but the choice and food were excellent; everyone enjoyed their meals. The service was quick and thorough. Thanks to Roberto & Freddie for a pleasant evening!

Dropped in for a mid Sunday afternoon lunch. The venue was as noisy as a rock concert due to a private party inside. The host seated us on the patio. The menu was primarily brunch items so we ordered the chicken and waffles. The quality was only fair. Maybe we were just unlucky but the several other diners near us... More

Reasonably friendly and upbeat place, but the food was average at best. I ordered the steak frite, which was fully1/3 fat, and the other 2/3 remarkably tough.

Stopped in here unexpectedly with a friend after a place we were planning to visit was closed. The entry was a little hard to find despite signage as it directed me toward a door that was actually the main dining room and not the door to the bar and where you asked to be seated. Lovely ambience. Wood paneled walls... More

The Mad Hatter is the sort of place DC goes to relax. Great service, good food and a fun crowd. Also, the place has a heart. On this occasion, the restaurant host a fundraiser for the breast cancer charity Team Joyce. Tremendous fun. The event drew a large crowd but the bar moved drinks quickly and the upstairs dining room... More

I went around 12 p.m. for brunch on a Sunday and it was packed! I grabbed a seat with my friend at the bar and we ordered ourselves the bottomless Mimosa. My first time having one and it was very enjoyable. We had the crab omelette but the Harty Hangover (or whatever it's called) was so much more filling! Definitely... More

Our group of friends enjoys getting together for large brunches on a periodic basis and Mad Hatter has never disappointed. Most recently, thirty of us booked a bottomless brunch on a Saturday. Although they only provided us with one waiter, he handled it with a great attitude and was friendly, accommodating and humorous. The menu options, which included bottomless mimosas,... More
