We enjoyed every bit of the meal! Seating can be a tight squeeze but it adds to the charm. Both service and food was great and exceeded expectations.

My daughter took me here for a birthday celebration. The food and service are among the best I have ever had at an Italian restaurant. Folks here know what they are doing, and hospitality is at the core of everything. The caprese salad, which we shared, was a fine example of delicate green and red tomatoes, as well aromatic fresh... We visited here tonight with our children and family members. Service was extremely poor. We waited forever for drinks, for our order to be taken and even for plates for our bread- it only went downhill from there. The appetizers were good- we had the tuna Carpachio and the beef Carpachio. The gnocchi was just ok but my husband's meal... More

It was our last night in DC and we were looking for a good Italian meal. We found it. We booked a reservation on line and they seated us on time. The service was very attentive, the manager stopped by to say hi and make sure everything was fine. We split the appetizer (Burrta with figs and lemon) it would... More

I was invited to Aqua Al Due for a wedding dinner. It was excellent. I had not intended to eat the pasta but it was impossible to resist. One of the entree choices was sirloin with blueberry sauce - totally unexpected, but very good, the meat cooked just right.

This restaurant is a warm, rustically-furnished Italian place, with handsigned plates lining the walls. The service is quick and attentive, the menu very "Italian", and all in all it's a nice place to dine. The wines are fairly expensive and the food is a bit pricey. The pasta is apparently made at the restaurant and was tasty. I was very... More

We went to the restaurant because my daughter loved their location in Florence Italy and was excited for us to try this one on our visit to DC. The four of us ordered our own pasta dishes which were all amazing, flavorful and cooked to perfection, a favorite being the fusilli in marscapone cream sauce with porcini mushrooms. Another was... Like the original restaurant in Florence, Aqua al 2 DC is a warm, welcoming place full of wood, brick and ceramic plates on the walls. It’s a good place to gather with a small group of friends, aw well as a romantic dinner for two. Take a look at their website and see if you don’t have a feeling of... More

Service impeccable; very professional staff. Accommodated a request for vegetable added to a pasta dish by offering a side dish of that vegetable...which was fair. But the side dish came with so much salt it was almost inedible. Tasty, but over salted. The two pasta dishes we order, while excellent in flavor were still heavy on the salt. Pasta truly... More

This place is quaint and the food is excellent! I would highly recommend the tasting menu so you get a little bit of all the delicious dishes. Same goes for the desserts but personally my favorite was the tiramisu, yum! It can be tough to get table so make reservations!
