This is a sister restaurant to the one we went to in Florence Italy and you would think you were in Florence! Service was outstanding. We opted to sit outside on this Saturday night on a very cute patio. Our server Lauren was outstanding. We ordered the blueberry balsamic filet (its their specialty) to share. Perfect. We ordered the tagliatelle,... More

I love this place. Ari, the owner and chef runs a great restaurant. The Bistecca Fiorentina cannot be beat and can feed three with ease. And if you have a dog, they will love gnawing on that bone. Great salads and a terrific wine list. Also they are perfectly fine if you want to bring a great wine from home... More

This is a regular on our rotation of places with a splurge for a fancy occasion. I had the veal chop; we ate outside which is perfect if you are into people watching and trying to spot the latest political figure. The restaurant is pricey _ you are paying for the Eastern Market location _ but service, food and location... More

It was wonderful that they could accommodate a group of nine around a table such that everyone could see each other and celebrate with champagne and wonderful food! We very much enjoyed the steak with blueberry reduction and and a pasta with winter squash sauce! Servers went out of their way to ensure our special night and celebration went perfectly

We had a business dinner, part of our construction association's (AGC) annual federal contractors conference in DC. It was actually recommended by my Congresswoman (I won't embarrass her by identifying) who joined us (and who lives in the immediate vicinity). When I arrived, the bar mixed me up an amazing dirty vodka martini, served up with olives and Gray Goose.... More

We found this place through reviews, and decided to try it out. It is a little different from a typical Italian restaurant's menu. Mostly pasta with vegetarian dishes, and some beef, chicken and veal. No ordinary red sauces, mostly light white and wine sauces. Outdoor dining was available and very nice. Reservations suggested. Menu is in Italian, but they are... More

We live in the neighborhood and like to think of this as our neighborhood Italian joint. Sadly, it's often too full just to walk in on a whim, which means they're doing all the right things. I've tried at least a dozen of their pastas and they've all been delicious. Their appetizers are perhaps even more special and interesting. The... More

We had group of five here and loved our experience. The balsamic steak and spinach and ricotta balls were highlights. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Great charcuterie as well. Reasonable prices, a little high but nor outrageous for dc

We went for dinner and chose this place as it looks quant and friendly. We were greater straight away and the staff were very friendly. We had tuna for our appertiser which was beautiful, then the spinach and ricotta ball in tomato sauce which was full of flavour. My husbands main was perfect but my pasta was under cooked, what... Wanted to try the Washington DC version of Acqua Al 2 after having tried the Florence, Italy, original and was not disappointed. Great place and great service and fantastic food. Thank you Alex for making this birthday dinner special!
