Ris is a pleasant neighborhood restaurant. The service is good, the bar area is most pleasant and the food is good.

Though this place gets good reviews and the decor and staff are pleasant enough, the food was uniformly no better than average. The day after Thanksgiving may not be the best day to try a restaurant but if the chef took the weekend off (just a guess given the gap between reputation and our dinner), the restaurant shouldn't expect us... We went here for a meeting it was nice, no problems. I don't think it's as good as it used to be and the service sucked but the food was good

A birthday celebration worth repeating ...such thoughtful attention to detail...from the birthday girls name on the menu to the candles on the scrumptious carrot cake. The wild mushroom tagliatelle was superbly flavoursome....serving sizes are generous and service just excellent. Remembering the scallop margarita has just made my mouth water... ! If you like a fine meal ... make this a... More

There’s something for everyone to love at chef Ris Lacoste’s West End New American restaurant where the menu gets a seasonal change. The early-bird prix fixe is a good buy.

The food was good, I liked the idea of being able to pick only 1 instead of 2 eggs for the Benedict. Desserts were very tasty and creative... Only negative point was for the service. Our waitress was friendly but unfortunately could not understand us... It was pretty embarrassing having to repeat multiple times what we wanted. There was a... More

We joined a party for a 50th anniversary celebration here and had an outstanding dinner. Many had salad and lamb chops and I enjoyed to scallop appetizer and the great crap cakes. Great service.

I've eaten in some fine restaurants, in Paris, London, Istanbul, Beirut, Vienna, Rome, Chicago, and New York, among other cities, and RIS, in my humble opinion, is one of the finest. It isn't just a question of the menu. The food is prepared to perfection, and it is beautifully served up. The service is impeccable, or just the way I... More
