We were heading to the Kennedy Center and had an early reservation at RIS. Food was good, service was good and speedy enough to be comfortable to arrive at the Kennedy Center in plenty of time. Some dishes were received by our group with more enthusiasm than others but generally everyone was satisfied with the quality all the way around.... More

Traveling to DC on business, I was lucky enough to be introduced to Ris by a local. It's a beautiful, warm, elegant space, and we had a fantastic week-night dinner. I ordered the crab cake and a simple green salad. She had a steak. Both meals were simply perfect.

I have been for both brunch and dinner and both have been exceptional. I highly suggest Ris for date nights or a special occasion with friends. The food is wonderful, service is unmatched, and the ambiance is fantastic.

I have been here a dozen times, each time have had a good meal, no matter brunch, lunch or dinner, never disappointed, especially the pork Chop, the best in town!!!

There is a scallop margarita appetizer that I have had now each time I have eaten at Ris. Each time (well only three) I have been here, I fear I will be disappointed and I am ALWAYS so happy with this dish. The last time we were here (last week) others in the group were seduced by the shrimp appetizer... More

I was a part of a wedding in Georgetown. We all stayed at the Westin, which was a great location. RIS is a part of many of the small intimate restaurants that are building in this area. We were able to have an opportunity to have a nice chat with the owner/chef..,,RIS. Her concept is farm to table food. We... More

In Washington for just a few nights and walked past here a couple of times on the way to the metro. Didn't attract my attention curb side, dark Windows and no menu on view, in fact it almost looked closed down! How wrong could I be. Arrived on a quiet evening so perhaps lacking a bit of "atmosphere " but... More

RIS is my go to restaurant in DC. The food varies from the best dish of spaghetti and meatballs to desserts that are truly amazing. The wine selection is outstanding. RIS, the nickname of the Chef, is amazing. Strongly recommend eating at RIS!

Excellent place to have a business lunch. Salad choices were very good. Had been here five years ago for dinner with a reunion group and it was very good then, too.

I have never had a bad meal at Ris and I have never been disappointed that I have taken even my most demanding my foodie friends and colleagues here. This is a female owned excellent chef who produces fine quality meals that are pleasing to eat. The restaurant is attractive and the noise level that allows for adult conversation -... More
