We serve authentic Indian food with a wide choice of non-vegetarian, vegetarian, and vegan options. This place is great. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, they're very accomodating to dietary needs, they actually make the food spicy if requested, and extremely freindly. We've been ordering here once a week since we moved to the area. You won't be disappointed.

We chose to eat outside where they have a little area set up as a patio. The food was the best I have had in a very long time. We had chicken Tandoori, curry and Tikka, and they were all excellent. I don't know how they get the chicken so tender, it almost melted in my mouth! The rice and Naan bread were great too. Our server was wonderful. I will definitely be back!!

I found the food here to be good and plentiful. The butter chicken and garlic naan were tasty. Prices a little on the high side. $20 for a curry (butter chicken) is expensive. Service was OK. Nothing above and beyond. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Delicious and reasonably priced cuisine. The chicken tikka was very good as was the lamb. However, the highlight was the chaat, particularly the palak- a delectable mix of spinach, red onion, mango and chutney. Was excellent with papadam. Highly recommend this restaurant in the Adam’s Morgan section of D.C. Topped off with a cold glass of Taj Mahal beer. Service was friendly and attentive.

Jyoti is consistently excellent.
My husband and I are frequent customers and are never disappointed.
We have also brought many out of town friends and they always rave about the food.In fact one self described foodie said that this was the best lamb bhuna he has ever eaten.
Jyoti has a comfortable neighborhood vibe and we always feel like a member of the family.
In particular Moonir stands out as an exceptional server.
Run don’t walk to Jyoti!

I am sorry we even came here. My family was seated and I walked a few minutes later since I was parking my car. It was 9:15 and the restaurant was closing at 10:00 PM. And the server was literally rushing my wife to place the last order before they close. So she cobbled up an order without even taking a proper look at the menu. He flat out refused to take my order. But then someone else walks in a full 20 minutes later and they have no problem taking that family’s order. I am a loyal customer now. Right!!!

5 stars for the Tadka Dal, 3 stars for the chicken Tikka, 2 stars for lamb.. ..but the rice had some kind of oil in it. If I had wanted that I would have gotten a biryani, pilaf...so please do better..keep the oil out of what should just be fragrant steamed rice. 4 stars minus 1 for oily rice.

The food here was delicious and reasonably-priced. It’s a fairly small restaurant, but the waiters were very friendly and all smiles. Definitely worth going to if you enjoy Indian food.

Clean restaurant in Adams Morgan with good food—West Indian appetizer was divine! They could benefit from some live Indian music, but otherwise, great cuisine! Happy hour is reasonable on beer and wine.

Wide selection of dishes on the menu backed up with a good range of beers and wines to cool your taste buds if - like me - you go for an extra hot vindaloo. If you prefer your curries milder there’s plenty on Jyoti’s menu you’ll love and there are lots of vegetarian dishes on offer too. The overall prices are very competitive. To sum up: one the best Indian restaurants in DC.
