We visited on Saturday for lunch during Restaurant Week. I got the feeling that the chef was on vacation. Food was not bad, it was just very average. I ordered the burger with fries. The burger was average and the fries were sad and soggy, as if the oil temperature was not hot enough. C'mon guys: there is no excuse... More

Cedar takes advantage of the market square farmers market and serves farm fresh food in a variety of unique dishes. Nick and the other bartenders are top shelf! Ladies you have to go there to get an ideal husband! The service is incredible with The GM making you feel like special guests in his own home. They also have a... More

The service, food, and atmosphere at Cedar are excellent. It's just the kind of downtown fine dining we were looking for. It's in the basement, so we were a bit concerned walking down the steps, but we were quickly met with professional and friendly service. We liked the 3-course Theatre Menu, especially the quality of the soup, salad, and main... More

Scrumptious ribeye and boar entrees. Very full flavored meats. Beef was local and grass fed. Creative veggies. Excellent service. Will go back. Our son thought the decor and music would be good for a date.

Main dishes around 25-30$. And that alone probably won't make it for the hungry (wo)man. Delicious bread and olive oil served while waiting and the dishes in general were quite tasty. 4/5

Organized a pre-theater dinner for 25 folks from my Alumni Association on a Saturday evening in early April. We were looking for seating around 5PM so we could make the 7PM show. Many restaurants in the theater district/ Ronald Regan Building area would not accommodate such a large group, but the Cedar maitre'd went out of his way to ensure... More

Excellent restaurant, food is great (try the white chocolat lobster soup, it tastes even better than this sounds), the service is great as well and so are the drinks and the wine menu. Really, I'm struggeling to think of something to critisize, but the only thing is the view and I even cannot critisize that because that even though it... More

We had the perfect graduation dinner at Cedar! We reserved a table for 8 and they seated us in a private alcove. That was perfect for us. The alcove gave us a tremendous amount of privacy and we could talk to each other in our regular voices. The food was great too. The trio of fish was delicious. The rack... More

I was disappointed with the restaurant on our visit Friday, May 13th. The restaurant is in the basement of a building, nice décor and intimate. Unfortunately there was a rowdy group of 4 men at the bar who were very loud and they ended up sitting next to us at dinner. The waiter was very attentive and let my husband... More
