Best value for fabulous food in some time. Wonder if something will be better in 2020. Every single dish we ordered had tremendous flavors. Ordered four appetizers, entrees for everyone, a nice bottle of wine, a wine flight, cocktails, beer, deserts and we all agreed...we would go back in a heartbeat. The room was quite attractive, and the service was spot on. My entree was the Capelletti with rabbit sausage, and it was tremendous...a totally different set of flavors that I have had. We had the muhammara and mushroom toast, and they were fab, as were the Brussels sprouts. Dinner for six (we were actually four, but the couple next to us was part of the armed services....so we picked up his their check), was $399 before tip....an amazingly excellent value. Go here....you will have a good dining experience.More

Normally I really like District Winery, the wine is good and my friends and I come pretty much any time we're in the area. But, my friend and I stopped in to get a glass of wine at the bar yesterday afternoon and the service...was just awful. The bartender was so rude and had an awful attitude, but my friend and I were the only people she seemed to have a real problem with from the second we sat down and said hello. We sat down and were looking at the menu and the first thing she said to us was "ID?" which I'm always happy to provide (both of us are 24) but you should at least say hello or how are you or something. She stared at our IDs for a while and then said "what do you want?" We each ordered a glass of wine, when she brought them over she gave us each others wines, the pour was less than she was pouring for the people around us, and my rosé was warm instead of being properly chilled. She never asked us how things were or if we wanted anything else. We got a little hungry so I asked if they had a food menu and she handed it to me and said "you have 10 minutes, we stop serving food at 3:30," which was a complete and utter lie! We didn't end up getting any food (half because the menu didn't have anything we really wanted and half because of her attitude) but food was steadily coming out to people sitting next to us at the bar for the next hour and a half until we left. Additionally, every new group that came to the bar (well after 3:30) she gave them a drink menu and the exact same food menu that we were told that we couldn't order from after 3:30, except they, for some reason, could place a food order. On top of that we were the only two people at the bar that were not allowed to hang on to their drink menus, we were thinking of getting another glass but the bartender came up and took our menus away without saying a word but everyone else at the bar still had theirs. I don't know what her problem was but she should not be working in a position where she ever has to interact with people. I don't know if we'll be coming back after this experience, there are plenty of other restaurants and bars in the area that don't give you an attitude.More

Had the duck to share. Duck five ways, it was all delicious. My cocktail was also very nice. I'd return.

Great location and ambience. The Burger was absolutely delicious. We had a San Francisco watermelon beer which was perfect for the weather. The donuts were a bit undercooked and not as good as the description made it sound. Apart from the dessert, I would recommend...Ana 100%!More

Unique and innovative cuisine. I tried many new flavors: roasted beets with labne, quail with fig sauce, and their take on banana cream pie (with black garlic and fermented banana). All of it plus the wines were outstanding! Definitely on my return to try more...list!More

Great food and good service - the only negative was that my husband's burger came out well done instead of medium rare. Our server fixed that extremely quickly, though, and the new burger was one of the best we've ever had.

The food was very good and the portions were huge, especially the starters. The Scones were so large that our party of three could only finish one and took an entire untouched one home. The Brussel Sprouts were unique and very good. Just be aware...that if there is a game or event at the nearby stadium, the local streets will be jammed. There is not a lot of parking available.More

Great views of the water from this well-designed space. You can take the Anacostia Riverwalk to get to Nats Park with beautiful water views along the way. The food was well prepared with some interesting twists. We all enjoyed the fried brussel sprouts. The presentation...of the octopus small plate was gorgeous and my husband said it was tender and perfectly cooked. I enjoyed the veggie shwarama and our friend loved her burger. We tried several wines by the glass and each was delicious.More
