Stopped in for late night drink and enjoyed the outdoor seating. Grabbed a few of the appetizers, which were pretty good, especially the oysters. Moderately priced, as with most of the restaurants on the water, and definitely would like to go back when it's warmer.

Excellent for an early dinner while the light is good over the cleaned up Anacostia River. Well-spaced outdoor tables for an excellent offering of well-shucked oysters, ceviches, and other raw dishes to prime palates for the mains. Short but carefully selected wine list. The simplicity...of the dishes allows the kitchen to focus tightly on taste and presentation. The two-hour limit for dining was the only unpalatable ingredient in a pleasant evening.More

Looking for a nice spot on the water, look no further. Food was amazing. Service was great. This is my second visit in five days. My new favorite new restaurant.

We had the oysters (assorted) including the oyster slider special and chowder. Excellent. Two in my part had the swordfish and I had the seared halibut. All were outstanding. We each had a different dessert; strawberry shortcake shake, blueberry ice box pie and a Whoopi...pie. All were enjoyable. Our waiter Alex was extremely attentive and informative. Will definitely be returning.More

Finally managed to have lunch here - on a cooler Saturday around 2 just about all the tables outdoors were occupied except for two large tables for 6, not sure if they were just not using them or reserved. This time made a reservation so...we were seated right away, on the side - away from the bar area so a more roomy area with fewer tables around - good on a cloudy day since there is no cover here. Service was very prompt, and they leave a water bottle on the table which is preferred. We had the Waterman's platter and crispy fish sandwich, both very good, with excellent crispy batter - the oysters were super tasty (considering I don't usually like oysters - now am a convert), the sandwich however could use a bit less sauce as it soaked the bottom bun too much making it hard to pick up. Great place to dine close to the water. Wish it's closer to us but absolutely worth the 6 mile bike ride.More

Beautiful location, but food was just okay. The fish sandwich had no flavor and the corn salad was loaded with salt. I think most people just go here for drinks and to people watch

We ate on the patio facing the river & felt very safe. Cheryl was an excellent. We had amazing fried clams (similar to Kincaid's) & crab dip for apps (a bit pricey, but very good). Delicious lobster roll & buccatini with scallops for mains. Blueberry...icebox tart for dessert. On top of everything, we parked a block away next to the stadium--no game & pandemic. We'll return.More

Top notch. Seared halibut for my wife and crispy rockfish for me. Both were perfect and paired with amazing sides that somebody really put some time and energy into. Wine list was not extensive but we found a bottle of Verdicchio that paired well. Staff...were very nice and spent a bit of time with us telling us about the area. Highly recommend The Salt Line.More

Just had an awesome return to Salt Line after many months closed - we got a great table near the water - plenty of space around, all the rules being followed on sanitizer and cleanliness. Food was great - shrimp cocktail and oysters from the...raw bar menu, each had one of the fish entrees along with one of their crafted cocktails (Cape Codder G&T+!!!!!) and just a wonderful welcome back to dining out. Our first time back at a restaurant in 4 months - WELL DONE!More

We enjoyed dinner here, although it was a little on the more expensive side (if you're bringing a family or something). The food was good though and the service was great. Interior decor is really nice and had no complaints about it overall.
