We made a reservation and only had to wait 15 minutes on a busy Friday night until we were seated. Our server was wonderful but totally over worked. Food was absolutely fabulous, fresh, tasty and well priced. But service was just too slow. Please have more servers, the people you have working are wonderful, but they just can't do their... More

No better way to have breakfast than at Founding Farmers. The inside is rustic and french country charming. The Founding Farmers breakfast is an egg, meat, bread and side. Perfectly soft scrambled, a REAL english muffin and the grits were awesome... Must go...

Loved my meal here last week. Highly recommend the brie and apple farm bread appetizer. I also had soup (tomato) and salad and found both to be fresh and delicious. Would definitely return!

Founding Farmers is such a unique place in DC. It was great food provided for by Farmers in North Dakota and it has an amazing vibe. I was a little hesitant to go here for lunch because the prices seemed extremely high for a lunch menu but the portions were so generous. I split an entre and ordered an separate... More

Great farm to table restaurant. Conveniently located in NW DC near metros, ample street parking, etc. There is ALWAYS a line here, but I suppose that is a testament to it's great food and service. The chicken and waffles are very delicious. Will definitely come back again!

I'm truly in love with this restaurant. It's the best on the East Coast they cater to Meat eaters, Vegetarians, and Seafood lovers. Their desserts are the bomb.com; my boyfriend was truly impressed and each time I come here with family and friends we are never disappointed wonderful customer services. There's only two things I don't like it can be... More

Great Place! Priced affordable ! Nice variety of pancakes, chicken and waffles, french toast, and other breakfast items. Everything tasted very fresh and was very affordable. I especially enjoyed that you can get fresh fruit and fresh sliced tomatoes with breakfast. I had the deep fried French Toast which is very nicely done! Not to fatty, but a delicious flavor.... Description
Founding Farmers, the Greenest Restaurant in DC, is owned by the more than 40,000 family farmers of the NDFU, serving American inspired real food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch. While our restaurant is supplied by hundreds of family farms everywhere, that doesn't mean we know every farm, and that doesn't mean we never have to buy product from the traditional (corporate) supply chain, but it does mean we're working hard to direct our purchasing dollars where it aligns with our values. We're serving the best food we can, made from scratch in our kitchens every day. Our innovative, American dishes are made primarily with pure ingredients honoring the farmers and their hard-earned bounty.
