We had 14 people in our group, and heard this was a "must try" Chinese restaurant by Washington Post, which I must say is a big disappointment. The waiter was trying to sit us in two 4 people tables, that was impossible, when we asked...for half of us to sit at the other table, the waiter started cursing in Cantonese, and he didn't realize I understand Cantonese. The food was acceptable, nothing stood out as exceptional, just average, every day Chinese Americanize food. The service was terrible, the waiter was insulting and confrontational, he was upset at the gratuity our group gave, he single out one of our group and demanded more. This is not a restaurant that you should experience, Don't set yourself up for disappointment, save your time and money, and go somewhere else.More

We ordered the salt and pepper squid, shrimp and scallop. It was quite nice! The peking duck was also good. They are probably not as strong on spicy Szechuan food, but all dishes were competently executed. Recommend for Cantonese cuisine, certainly among the better options...in DC for this.More

The salty fish jumped out at me when reading the menu and I was really glad I ordered it. It was very good. We went around the corner to a Chinese bakery because we wanted sesame balls. They were huger and the best ever.

We thought we would try Chinese food in the US. The dumplings were awful. The mains of sweet and sour pork and Cantonese steak were good. Rice was gluggy. Service reminded us of service at Hurstville in NSW. Abrupt. I don’t think we will eat...Chinese here again.More

It was our second trip to DC. My friend took me to this restaurant on our first trip and we loved it ! We decided to go back there for dinner on our second time in DC. Again, foods are great, no complains. But their...service isn’t that good, kinda rude, no smiling servers. So don’t expect a great service, then you’ll be fine, you won’t be disappointed then. At least foods are great!More

The spot is close to the arena and easy to find. The menu is very full, pretty basic. I had veggie options. The spring roll was tasty, not greasy and veggies were crisp. The dumplings were thick and full. Nephew had the orange chicken. Portion...sizes are hefty. Food is tasty, but a bit pricy. I’d say if you want a great meal, spend a few extra bucks and up the quality at one of the better rated spots around — a case where spending just a little more would give you a much better dining experience.More

Good Chinese. Pre-game for Caps....fast service, every single dish (ordered eight for five people) was delicious. Had stopped going here in the past, glad to have gone back and glad to have another choice for pre-game dinners....especially when time is tight. We got in at...six, and were out by 6:45. Dinner for five, including, with everybody only drinking water was $94 before tip...an excellent value. I will be back.More

Came here to eat lunch instead of food after meeting in the Marriot Marquis. A litle reminiscence as ate here with Jerry, my brother many years ago. Not much change at all. The ambience is typical of an authentic chinese restaurant. Ordered a quick beef...chow fun (or ho fun). You are given a fortune cookie after your meal. Mine read....please see photos. Service was quick.More

We visited here with friends whilst on holiday. Staff were rude and were in no way attentive. However food was good quality. We decided to leave a 10% tip as we had not received a good service. Server demanded 20% stating you eat you pay!...Always thought tipping was discretionary! Bad experience would recommend to steer clear of this place!More

We were craving some Chinese cuisine on our visit to DC, and since our hotel (Grand Hyatt) was only a few blocks from Chinatown, we checked into TripAdvisor and found New Big Wong. It's not fancy, but the food and service were excellent. Huge portions,...reasonable prices, lovely wait staff, and you'll feel like you're eating in someone's home. The menu is extensive, and we found many dishes that we've never seen here in the Boston area, although we've dined in many Chinese restaurants.. We loved this place! Two thumbs up!More

Located at the heart of Chinatown, this restaurant offers your standard American style Chinese food even though menu states it’s authentic style. The site is kind of old and not the cleanest, could use some remodeling. The food is considerably good and average priced.
