Each generation continues to "discover" Tryst. A perfect AdMo (Adams Morgan) coffee hang out with food added. Superb expresso drinks and more. Sofas spread out for comfort along with tables, always packed on weekends. But as Philz opened, a bit less packed. Service here is always wonderfully pleasant if not chronically slow. Long waits for drinks/food and the check, but... More

My husband and I love Tryst. They have the best latte in town! It is a great spot for breakfast or lunch. And for people watching, you cannot beat it. On Saturdays it is loaded with young families with adorable kids. This is a real neighbor hood place that is welcoming and friendly.

Great breakfast options and a nice assortment of drinks. Staff is friendly and helpful. We had the peanut butter chocolate chip waffle and eggs Florentine frittata. Both were delicious

Funky place that's been around for awhile. Coffee and pastries are good. Small outdoor seating space and plenty of mixed tables and sofa inside.

I have been there several times before and had a decent experience. This visit, the staff were outright hostile. A bus full of British tourists let the tourists off in the middle of a torrential downpour. Two harmless, nicely dressed ladies hovered inside the door of Tryst next to me, waiting for the rain to let up. The inside of... More

I was in DC for work and was looking for good places to eat at. A friend recommended the waffles at Tryst, so i thought of giving it a try. Went to the place and ordered a waffle with whipped cream, nutella, syrup and bacon (oh yeah). It would easily go in one of the best waffles i have had....... More

My second visit. Like the indoor/outdoor space. Comfortable seating. Very alive and tailored to the neighborhood. Try the gluten-free mint chocolate chip cookies.

We stopped here for a quick meal one evening and were impressed with the quality of the food. It was pretty busy - usually a good sign - and although we had to wait a while for our food, we were in no hurry as we sat outside watching the world go by. Would certainly recommend this as a good... More

Crazy cool coffeehouse in the heart of Adams Morgan. In fact, still my favorite coffeehouse in DC. Great spot for lounging with some coffee or drinks, waffles or sandwiches (both are great), or any of the other items on the menu. Just need a comfortable place to read, prefer sofa's or chairs, want to chat and make new friends, or... More
