I have been there several times before and had a decent experience. This visit, the staff were outright hostile. A bus full of British tourists let the tourists off in the middle of a torrential downpour. Two harmless, nicely dressed ladies hovered inside the door of Tryst next to me, waiting for the rain to let up. The inside of... More

I was in DC for work and was looking for good places to eat at. A friend recommended the waffles at Tryst, so i thought of giving it a try. Went to the place and ordered a waffle with whipped cream, nutella, syrup and bacon (oh yeah). It would easily go in one of the best waffles i have had....... More

My second visit. Like the indoor/outdoor space. Comfortable seating. Very alive and tailored to the neighborhood. Try the gluten-free mint chocolate chip cookies.

We stopped here for a quick meal one evening and were impressed with the quality of the food. It was pretty busy - usually a good sign - and although we had to wait a while for our food, we were in no hurry as we sat outside watching the world go by. Would certainly recommend this as a good... More

Crazy cool coffeehouse in the heart of Adams Morgan. In fact, still my favorite coffeehouse in DC. Great spot for lounging with some coffee or drinks, waffles or sandwiches (both are great), or any of the other items on the menu. Just need a comfortable place to read, prefer sofa's or chairs, want to chat and make new friends, or... More

A nice little place for a quick bite. They had lots of choices for food especially desserts and pastries. Coffee was amazing for us. A cool spot to hangout. We would definitely come back.

Stopped in quickly for a couple treats to go. The chocolate cheesecake was delicious, the vegan breakfast bar was very tasty (and huge), and the lavender hot chocolate was unexpectedly VERY good!

Ate my last supper at Tryst and it was just amaze. The food is fresh and the coffee is fantastic. The ambience is very welcoming and I loved having my dinner on the patio seating while reading my book . There are a lot of people doing business meetings, meeting friends for a coffee, reading a book, or doing one... More
