Taberna La Botija is starred as a must see in the Lonely Planet Guide book. This is even more true now, due to the new addition of an open air lounge in the back of the existing restaurant. I am always amazed at the ingenuity...of the Cuban people. The decor is like a brewpub feel, with chairs and tables made from pallets. Their are fans on every post to help keep customers comfortable. The staff are attentive and professional. The food is incredible. Don't miss out when you are in Trinidad to stop here.More

This was the worst place we visit in Trinidad, we were looking for some dinner and got a cold, really bad one and lots of loud music and people. I wouldn’t recommend unless you’re 15 and looking to get drunk.

You have to visit this place. We have eaten burgers, very good. Good value for money. It can be very busy there, so do not go there at the evening (afternoon is more safe option).

Was a brilliant place - dinner - all food was excellent (and lots of it!) and it seemd to have non-stop live music. And it was the olny reastaurant we saw in Trinidad that had people queing. And also - the best value around (give...the m a large tip - they deserve it!). Great place. They also do lots of take-aways for the casas & hostels.More

Very popular spot. Long queues into the night. No tables available when we arrived. Had a lovely mojito at the bar. Shown to shared table and ordered the house speciality brocheta. The people sharing our table ordered a sandwich at the same time and had finished...when our food arrived 45 minutes later. My kebab was cold.Subsequently reheated to an acceptable temperature, but not good. Slow inefficient service and very average food. "Gastroenterological difficulties " the next day !!More

We returned twice to this restaurant whilst travelling through Trinidad because it was amazing to get tasty, well-priced food and good service all in one place! Portions are quite big, so if you’re having starters you could share a main between two. The live band...at night created a great atmosphere in the restaurant, and it is not surprising that there is often a queue outside the restaurant of people waiting for tables!More

Nice location just few steps away from Plaza Mayor, good choice of food and good quality. The prices were more than reasonable and the service really nice. The place tend to be often full, better don’t go too late.

I ate here several times and was happy on each visit. You do need to arrive before 6 pm to avoid line-ups. Staff was friendly, drinks were good and food was very good. It was nice to get a beef burger rather than pork and...it was nicely seasoned on a fresh bun. Tapas were great and prices were excellent. I would most certainly recommend it.More

Great tapas and a break from our traditional Cuban fare. Very informal. Long line to get in but it moves really fast. And you get to make new friends while you wait!

Not as far as I'm aware - just a bar and restaurant/ There is a hostal right opposite though if you need one. Inexpensive and very clean. We stayed there - great breakfast and owner. Casa Sueca - Anita Fonseca

The internet in Cuba is controlled by the government. There are no internet providers available for businesses or private homes. Only a few parks in the island have Wiifi. The number is increasing but it's still way behind... More
