OMG the best scallops and chips I have had for a long time. Great value for money in central location.

We got fish and chips (kumara) and it was by far the best we had in NZ. The batter was just right and stuck to the fish without flaking off. The chips were amazing and well worth the extra bit of money. I would recommend trying them out if you are in the area.

After arriving late we decided to get takeaways. We had recommended butter fish which was delicious, although they were very busy and we had to wait it was worth the wait.

My husband got the hoki and the kids got a hotdog. I'm 99% sure the hoki is from the supermarket, processed and horrible. The hot dogs were the same, they were definitely not battered there. Chips greasy and average. The burger was really nice, the only saving grace of the meal. If you have to go there i wouldn't get... More

Yes indeedy, 3d ago it was about the Picton Sports Bar that would only show "the rugby" even when there was a Black Caps international being played. Now I present to you the Picton chippy, which when approached for a standard fish and chip order said "We're closed, we've run outta chips." Initiative and customer satisfaction are definitely in short... More

Was very busy for one staff but she did a stellar job serving everyone. Fair price and lots to eat. Check out some of the unusual items.

Hands down one of the best fish & chips I have ever had... And clearly the best in Picton. However, service is so bad! There was only 1 person running the shop when we went and so service was really really slow. The first time we tried to order (the night before), we actually ended up waiting for over 30... More

Great fish and chips, stopped here on a port visit, so the line up was big, but well worth the wait, not big enough to eat in but with such a lovely park across the road who needs to eat in.

I live in Canada... the fish here is ok. When we were on our honeymoon in New Zealand we got off the ferry and were a bit hungry. So we walked around and found this place. OMG. This was the best fish & chips I have ever had in my entire life. I want to move here just for the... More
