Unhappiness is when you turn up for your loaf of gorgeous bread and they're closed - just one day a week. Premises always clean and sparkling and staff always cheerful.

If you are visiting Picton buy a pie and a cake. Kiwiana and great food. Well supported by the locals but a must for any visitor. Some outside seating and NZD$10.00 will get you a cake, pie and sandwich and everything is made on the premises. I have been visiting for 5-6 years and always consistent. Nice staff also.

Bit of a stretch to call this a restaurant BUT you have to travel far to find a better stocked, friendlier staffed, eclectic bakery than this! Pies, pastries, sweet or savoury fresh as fresh. Yes very very well worth the travel for the service, freshness and taste?

We ordered lunch for a work training from this bakery, which included a range of savouries and sandwiches. We also ordered breads/rolls for dinner and the following day which were all delicious.

Picked up a variety of food to take on the ferry north. Egg & bacon pie, Savory scone, cranberry chicken panini, Hawaiian individual pizza & chocolate croissant. All very good! Stop here!
