A great spot on the beach front (although over the road the footpath was being relaid while we were there) for a simple dining experience. Good food and drinks, efficient service, and a table outside made this a very pleasant interlude.

We ended up dining at Bully Hayes, after recieving very poor and surly service at L'Hotel. The waitress was amazing, and had nearly a full restaurant , all by herself. We enjoyed the food, and the atmosphere, and was so impressed with how the waitress coped, we left her a tip.

Yummo breakfast with a world class view. Friendly staff, extensive menu catering for all tastes and allergies and I was most impressed with the hot drinks arriving at the same time as the meals

I ordered the farmhouse platter my husband ordered whitebait patties, which was actually a omlette but he said was good. The pate, cheeses, toast and fig jam delicious was so impressed with terrine (but don't really like it). Great quick service friendly staff would visit again.

Went with the French Onion soup. I guess I can live without the customary Gruyere and crouton, but the absence of soup was disconcerting. Essentially it was a bowl of brown onions. The 'soup', fries and salmon were all warm. A bit sad.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much but it is warm, the service is great the food is delicious. We had a quick lunch the food was very good value and we'd definitely go back. I had the small seafood chowder and it was a lot of food.

Visited for lunch. Nice outlook and pleasant outlook over the Harbour. Enjoyed the chicken burger. Others in our group enjoyed the French Onion soup and the beef burgers. The mull wine was pleasant if not spectacular. Reasonable value for money.

We came here due to it being one of the only places open, obviously they close down for winter etc. We only ordered 2 coffees, and one with a caramel shot. I'm not sure what they had done but the caramel shot was more like a bucket of caramel... Safe to say i couldn't drink it. Probably would try here... More

Visited bully Hayes on Sunday, the service was quick and friendly. The meals came out quickly Two chicken burgers and a beef burger. The chicken burgers were nice. The beef was very underwhelming lacking flavour and was floury. So wouldn't get that one again but would defiantly eat here again. The restaurant was nice and warm. Fed 3 of us... More

Good menu, prompt friendly service and good food. W Some has the soup of the day which was delicious & I tried the West Coast Whitebait fritter which was a bit disappointing to me. Coffee, tea and mocha were all good.
