It is always difficult judging a restaurant on a wet night in November but the staff at Kohinoor did nothing to help this unfortunately. A TV screen showing football matches from last night lacked inspiration. Some members of staff walking through the restaurant dressed in horribly scruffy clothes and then the non-appearance of the waiter unless you shouted for him... More

Such fantastic service and food. Our server was a young man named Surmukh. He was very patient with us as we chose our food. When it came out, it was so freshly made. Absolutely amazing cooks there. Would totally go again:)

We were going to Sao Simon based on Trip Advisor ratings but they were closed for the holiday. Lucky us. Kohinoor is 2 doors away. Lunch on the sidewalk outside with very little traffic. Shrimp in a slightly spicy sauce over perfect rice. Wish there was Kohinoor where I live

The food is very, very good. The desert list is to small, almost inexistent. And no coffee:( As restaurant is a bit poor the food is great. PS. You must love spice.

First off the food was really good, and at a great price as well. The service was ok, we were in with a table of 12 which was the cause of this. Why don't the waiters take notes? Because of this, our starter didn't come (it wasn't on the bill either so can only assume he forgot). We waited for... More

Basic decor but reasonably broad and inexpensive menu. My biryani was delicious, and my husband had a curry vindaloo that was nice and spicy. We found the staff friendly and appropriately attentive. Two large entrees with rice pilau and house wine for about €30.

Lovely and clean with friendly staff. Good menu choices at a good price. Always try and fit it in a meal on our trips to Tavira. Poppadoms and pickle tray addictive! 😊

Second evening in Tavira, we decided on an Indian meal. We were not disappointed. 2 popodoms, starters main meals and Nan breads plus bottle wine. 45 euros. Great flavours and good service. Well worth the visit.
