Lovely food prepared carefully with high quality ingredients. We enjoyed it so much we ate there three times, and we usually make a point of trying different restaurants each time. We were travelling with children, who were treated very kindly by the staff. Greek salad...was one of the best we have had, we loved the lamb. The orange pie was amazing. Very happy customers !!!! My son was really wanting a pizza and he thought theirs was great.More

Ordered the slow cooker lamb. It was tough, and chewy. Raised this with the waiter. They were not interested. No further offer of deserts etc. No apology. Then when paying the bill they have the cheek to ask for a tip. My tip. Try somewhere...elseMore

We came off a cruise ship and took the public bus to the walking tunnel to the old town. I must of read about this restaurant because we passed by loads of places on both side of the narrow road going uphill towards the church...and square. You should, too. It was lunchtime and during the extreme heat wave, but this restaurant, To Kanoni, was well worth it. Some of the best food we had over the remainder of the 21 day cruise. Several levels of seating, including rooftop, but we stayed at ground level because of my wife's knees (we're both 80). Pleasant veranda with ocean views. The food was a knockout. A fresh Greek village (means no lettuce or leaves) salad that really was just prepared for us. A stuffed squid dish that we're still talking about, two other courses, and then orange cake made with local oranges, not too sweet or too gooey. The owner/hostess was delightful. she spoke fine English. Turns out, she winters in Florida at her son's home. He apparently had a successful Greek restaurant in Minneapolis. She introduced us around to her son, there, and the working grandchildren. This personal connection is why we all travel. All in all, a marvelous lunch in a grand setting with an ambience of friendship.More

Excellent food and great value for money. The restaurant offers refined food at a reasonable price. The setting is lovely with a great rooftop terrace. We liked it so much we came both nights we stayed in Monemvasia. My husband had the macarounes with chicken...both times. I had the amber fish and then the squid with couscous. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended.More

Visit was me and my Greek husband and our adult kids (all in their 20s). This was hands down the best non-family meal we have had in Greece. This restaurant was the only one willing to serve us just drinks in the afternoon (literally turned...away from other locations which were almost empty) so we made a point of coming back for dinner. Best decision! Appetizer was the shrimp saganaki that smelled so good when it came we forgot to take a pic and we inhaled it along with the very fresh hearty bread. Dinner was the sea bass, oregano lamb (oven), stuffed squid and Kononi Carbonara. Every morsel of food was devoured. Sea bass was so smooth, the lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned, the stuffed squid was like butter and so flavorful and the carbonara was as creamy and absolutely phenomenal. Our server was accommodating and attentive without getting in our way. 5 stars isn’t a high enough rating. This restaurant should be rated #1 on the grounds. We finished off with Orange pie and loved every bite! Forgot to take a before pic so you got a during! You must come here! Oh and the view is fantastic too!!!More
