Really horrible vine and service, totally don't recommend to go over here. Find different place! Very bad and unprofessional service.

The male owner of the cafe was a nice guy, but his wife was just weird (according to my Czech-speaking husband) and strangely impolite during our last visit. The opening times have changed to much later than before, and not updated online, so we made...wasted our time trying to get in on our first attempt. Prices are quite high and wine by the glass is not the best on offer for a wine-growing region. The cave/cellar section has been mostly closed off, so we can't sit in it like before. The best thing is the view from the terrace. It's common in the Czech Republic that once a place becomes popular, the owners become complacent. If the owners were to improve the points mentioned above, maybe it'll deserve the good reputation it has.More

Waiter does not speak a word of english. Wine aveverage and food was horrible, we asked for some spread we did not like and asked the waiter if we could change it. We were treated like we were trying to steal them...finally we were charged...for 2 spreads.More

Got here with family for caffe and cake. In nice narrow old street, nice white house well preserved. Terrace is as described, probably one of the best view on old rooftops and castle, simple Ikea furniture but with nice atmosphere. Kind and fast staff. Home...made cakes where tasty and specialty of the house ‘salted ice cream with pumpkin oil and seeds’ original, not for everybody but i liked it. So generally excellent. Only one thing, i was expecting a bit more from espresso, as it is decreased in menu as specialists for good coffee. It was good but not excellent, maybe because we arrived just after opening?More

Been here few times and it is still very good. Last time we tried homemade cakes and they were very good, we also had our favourite paté which was still very good. The only thing which I do not like is payment. Only in cash,...come on, we are in 21st century, everyone has the bank card, why do we need to have cash? Let' s wake up Mr.& Mrs. Barta. With only cash payments you are just limiting us to try more drinks and food.More

We stopped for a quick dinner and were very impressed. The service was good, the food and dessert delicious, and sitting on the rooftop terrace in the middle of summer was a nice touch! The staff were very friendly.

Summary: Incredible; terrace with a view This place is a little gem. Friends and I were actively avoiding the main square with its excessive prices and uninteresting food and drink. After wandering along a cobbled street we came across this place. What a view! The...small and personal terrace was lovely. We had a carafe of wine with meat, cheese and bread. It was idilic and run by a local family. If you're nearby put this place at the top of your list - exceptionalMore

We stopped by for a coffee after walk in Mikulov city. We were waiting for a while as it was open since 5pm only. The terrace is situated at higher place with wonderful view to castle. The place is connected to little place in Padova,...Italy and all coffee elements were related to that that was nice. Home made limonades were tasty however would be even better without so much ice in it. Home made plum cake was nice, felt like coming back in time to our childhood and getting it from grandma. Nice atmosphere, good coffee. And great sense of humor, recommending to read about alergens :-) Thank you!More

This cafe/bistro and wine bar has one of the best views ever. Great service, homey feel and good wine and snacks. Highly highly recommend. Came here with my dad on a wine country trip and stumbled upon this find of a place. For happy hour...or sunset it’s pretty great.More

Good selection of local wine grape variety (you need to get some help if you don't speak the language). They only serve regular snack food and some unusual snacks (lards with deep fried pig skin bits. It is a spread for bread, which was totally...unusual for me, but quite common in Czech I learned later.) A nice view and great vibe. Worth a try!More

Thought this was a restaurant, but not really. It does serve good wine with a lovely view from the terrace. If you're old enough you'll probably recognise the music.

Best place to enjoy sunset with a glass of wine, in the background is Mikulov castle and wineyards. Tasty food and coffee, really good wine and kind service.

To be honest - I don't remember drinking wine in such marbellous surroundings and atmosphere. It's a must when you are in Mikulov. Even if you have to choose between going to the castle and watching it from Barta ;)
