After visiting the Kaali meteorite crater we went for lunch at the Kaali Tavern. It’s an 18th limestone building and inside it had exposed brickwork, big wooden beams, wooden benches to sit on, stuffed animal heads and furs on the walls and with the clever lighting it was really atmospheric. We had a le coq beers and had sejlanka Russian... More

Nice place. Dishes are not so different. Beef was really fresh.Be careful with prices fixed on the menu. The waiter made us paid more which is not fine.

Located close to a meteorite crater. Food was alright. Place looks like old fashion pub. Service alright.

Took my family to have a dinner in Kaali Tavern and was very disappointed with food and service. The food was very tasteless and didn't look fresh, chocolate cake was more like chocolate mousse and no one bothered clean our table from plates before serving dessert. As i had 2 children with me i would of expected them to offer... More

My Estonian fiance and I decided to eat here after visiting the meteor crater. The place itself is pleasant with indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the bean soup with smoked meat for starters and a roast pork dish for mains with a couple of Kali's to drink. After a long long wait (the restaurant wasn't busy) we got our... More

Food was what they call typical Saarenmaa cuisine. It was quite tasty, and portions were big enough even if you are very hungry. Food was totally satisfactory for the price. The restaurant had nice outdoor seating under parasols, but you have to visit indoors, too, since the premises are quite atmospheric. After having luch you can walk some hundred meters... More

Kaali Tavern is located 150 m from the Kaali Meteor Crater. There are two halls in national style in the building. The tavern’s signature dish of wild boar is certainly worth a try. You can buy yourself a piece of Saaremaa from the tavern’s yard. Items made of aromatic juniper and the most beautiful Saaremaa dolomite are sold on romantic old carriages.
