One of the most popular attributes it to the fluffy white cumulonimbus. This is the ninth cloud out of ten types first identified in the 1896 International Cloud Atlas which rises as high as a cloud can go, hence the sense of being ‘on top of the world’.

We stayed at La Siesta Premium Hang Be for four nights and had breakfast each morning at the Cloud 9 restaurant. In addition we had dinner there several times ( it was so good, why not?) . The servers were informative but not obtrusive and the food quality, presentation and service were outstanding. Hanoi was our last stop in Vietnam and we had excellent food throughout but Cloud 9 was just the perfect combination for us. Highly recommend whether you are staying at the hotel or not.

What a lovely evening we spent here! Cloud Nine was a haven of civilised comfort in the rather busy (frantic) streets of Hanoi's old quarter.
The restaurant is a plush, pleasant and well-decorated space with a good view and good service; it feels quite swish. I would say you are paying for the setting and the excellent service more than for the food, which was very nicely presented but, in terms of flavour, pleasant rather than delicious. That’s not a criticism, though – there was nothing wrong with it, we greatly enjoyed our meal, and we felt it was good value for money. We will most likely never return to Hanoi, but if we did, we’d probably go back to Cloud Nine.

Luxury and luxury again on the 11th floor with a lovely view and with an aperitif, salmon dish and sea bass, we were also treated to a delicious small starter and a very good and exciting shot consisting of vodka, coconut milk and a few more ingredients.
All this at a relatively reasonable price of 1,355,000 VND ( SEK 570 for 2 people ).
The staff maintained a high standard but certainly not too much. Do they recommend

.I wanted to share my feedback regarding my recent visit to your restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and of high quality; however, I was unfortunately unable to fully enjoy my experience due to the excessive amount of photography happening around us.
We informed the waitress about this issue, and while she communicated our concern, unfortunately, no action was taken, and the disturbance continued. The constant movement and noise of photography significantly affected our experience and made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal.
As a visitor from Qatar, where we highly value privacy and a peaceful dining atmosphere, I believe it’s worth considering implementing some guidelines or a policy regarding photography in the restaurant to ensure all guests can enjoy their experience comfortably.
Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I appreciate the hard work and passion your team puts into the food, and I hope to have the opportunity to return under more relaxing circumstances.

Truly worth a visit if you like fine dining. Amazing little restaurant and we sat at a table with views to the river.
Started with a compliment, Vietnamese roll with a delicious dipping sauce, then we ordered Hanoi summer spring rolls, grilled pork, fried rice chicken and crème brûlée for desert.
Spent 750,000 plus a bottle of wine. Good selection of wines, how many offer’s both local and western food. They also have set menus but we chose to select our own dishes. Service was and applicable, and from start to finish was attention to detail. Love to see the staff so involved and enjoying their workplace.
Their Skybar is worth a visit afterwards to enjoy a wineglass charcuterie topper! Highly recommend.

As guests of La Siesta Hang Be we experienced exceptional service capped off by the best meal we had in Hanoi at Cloud 9.In particular Phuc, who is understandably proud of the level of service and food on offer at this venue. His willingness to share his knowledge of the food & beverages ( like his recommendation of the beautiful Song Cai gin of Vietnam) was very much appreciated. A mix of Vietnamese & western cuisine, all of the highest standard. We would highly recommend this venue, particularly for a special occasion, or just any excuse to enjoy an exceptional meal!

beware to be surprised
fine dining at cloud nine is on cloud nine - the price is too.
compared to standard dining costs in Hanoi crazy expensive but it is worth every Dong. Vietnamese kitchen meets western fine dining with delicate superb tastes and very friendly and attentive staff. Restaurant design and view over the city is an additional bonus.

This restaurant was amazing. The menu, the view and the staff, all sensational. The highlight was our waitress Thien Trang who took care of us for the evening. She took the time to chat with us, and get to know us, as did we with her. We mentioned lightly to her that we were out for dinner for my partner's birthday dinner. After we had finished our dinner she surprised my partner with a beautifully decorated plate with little cake. This was such a lovely guesture, we are so grateful to her and all the other staff at Cloud Nine for making the night so special.

RThis place is a brilliant exprience. From the meoment you walk in, you taste the love and care this establishment put into their food. I was served a complimentary appetiser of beef and vegetables wrapped in rice paper which was delicious. The beef and vegetable stir fry I ordered was perfectly cooked and not an overburdening portion. The best bit (from my angle) was the complimentary drink at the end. I won’t give away their secret, but, my word. This place is brilliant.
Yen, the hostess, was helpful, offering suggestions and was attentive in ensuring my experience was top form.
Make sure you enjoy a drink in the Skybar afterwards.

Outstanding meal with excellent service. Having been fortunate to dine in many a fine restaurant the meal here was of Michelin level equivalent but at a price that was 1/3 of what it would have been in Europe/US. Fine views of the city & lovely interior make this a must stop as a treat when in Hanoi

Cloudnien is a restaurant that carefully invests in quality and service. The taste and spacehere always help me relax, comfortable and temporarily forget all problems in life. Not only that, the most friendly service staff is Ms. Giang.

A perfect evening yes, rocked by the cosy atmosphere, the excellent food, the large choice of wines and above all the exceptional service.
Mr. Khành Nguyēn, the young man in charge of our table, was simply stunning; extremely well mannered, attentive without being intrusive, friendly, with in-depth knowledge of each dish he presents as well as the wine that accompanies it. It seems to come directly from the Lausanne hotel school... impressive.
He indeed has a clear path ahead of him for a successful career in the industry and there is no doubt that big hotel names will very quickly turn their attention to him.
Hats off to the whole team.

We went here on the spur of the moment when the restaurant we had planned to go to had a tour group booking. This is an elegant setting with great service and food at prices higher than some other plaes, but low compared to what we are used to in the States. We had sea bas dinners for around $12 each. The meal came with a complimentary appetizer and after-dinner drink.

Great options - something for everyone. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was excellent. They even went out of the way to offer to bring tea to our friend who wasn’t feeling well. Very thoughtful and appreciated.
