This restaurant is very causal, staff is extremely friendly and supportive. They offer a wide variety of dishes. They serve excellent wines. They’re very flexible because we arrived quite late on New Year’s Eve and they served us without pushing us to rush. Wen joyed the explanation about the dishes and the instructions how to eat them. A place for a relaxing romantic diner! In combination with the Era Hotel you get a reduction.

Came here to eat some authentic local vietnamese dish. Got the set menu 1 which included a bowl of pho, spring roll platter, bun cha, and deep fried banana spring rolls. Everything was tasty and well worth the value. The waiters - An and Anna was also very helpful and explained every dish to me. They spoke very fluent English Would recommend others to try out this restaurant

Every dish was incredibly flavorful, from the spring roll appetizer to the coconut milk and jicama dessert. The sauce on the pork was fabulous, the ahi tuna was fresh and richly flavored, and the salad dressings were superb. Our waitress, Lisa, was very friendly and went out of her way to be helpful. She was very attentive and made sure our visit was a memorable one. It is definitely more expensive than street food, but the setting was lovely, the presentation perfect, and the price was less than half what you’d pay in the states. The restaurant is associated with the Hanoi Era Hotel, which offered an additional discount for guests.

Food was simply amazing, especially the spring roll and bun cha (one of the best I’ve tried in Old Quarter). Service was also perfect! We were served by Anna and An, who were friendly, helpful and professional. Anna’s food recommendation was excellent, and she also took an extra effort to introduce each of the dishes and showed us the proper way to eat the dishes we ordered.

We arrived in Hanoi today and were recommended this restaurant by the hotel we are staying at. We checked out the menu in the afternoon and were easily able to make a reservation for 7pm. The staff were brilliant with impeccable manners and helping us with suggestions where we asked for it. We decided upon some local dishes which were very tasty and plentiful. Our waitress An was amazing and with complimentary taster food and drinks to start and end with made the whole experience very memorable. There was a great feel to the place, with plenty of fellow diners in a more formal setting than the many street stalls outside. What a great way to start your visit to Hanoi!

Ana and An made sure we had a really good experience, explaining the dishes and showing us how they should be eaten. The food was mouth-wateringly delicious and so fresh, the best we have experienced whilst in Hanoi. Very reasonably priced too. Would 100% recommend

We visited for dinner and was served by Lisa who was so friendly and helpful. She recommended the spring rolls, bun cha and pho which tasted delicious and very authentic Vietnamese. We got a complimentary dessert as well. Highly recommend this place for dinner!! We can’t wait to be back!

My mum, sister and I had an amazing time at Era. Brian and Dale were fantastic, and took the time to show us how to eat particular dishes, and nothing was too much trouble. We also had a lovely time getting to know more about the cuisine and learning about Vietnam from the locals which was such a bonus. Food was fantastic, and have already recommended it to travellers we’ve met since who have loved it also. Couldn’t recommend it enough! Thanks Dale and Brian - hope you come to Australia soon!

We had read other excellent reviews for the Era and we weren't disappointed. Dale looked after us really well with recommendations and information about the local dishes. We started with the traditional Bun Cha (enough to share for a starter) and then had the seared salmon and the duck. When my husband couldn't decide between the orange and tamarind sauces for the duck, Dale brought both for him to try!

We had a wonderful dinner here on Saturday night. The restaurant recently changed its menu and now offers an amazing Vietnamese BBQ at very reasonable prices. Definitely go with the owners recommendation: the BBQ, mango salad and fried chicken. Delicious! The owner also went out of his way to explain us the basics of the Vietnamese BBQ, making it even more memorable and delicious. Honestly one of the better (if not best) dinners we had in Vietnam.

Era restaurant is without any doubt the best Vietnamese Royale Gastronomic Experience, Hanoi can offer . From the very first moment we stepped in until we left the place, we received the best and genuine attention and service care you usually get on a six stars Cruise Line. A young, brilliant and well prepared waiter , Dale, reserved us a truly Royale service throughout dinner. His suggestions and menu explanation were right on the spot. The food was absolutely amazing like the atmosphere and the total experience. The best part is that the price were as good as the rest of the experience. Now we know what Vietnamese food is all about and what technique use to roll and eat. Special Kudo to Dale and Brian and the Chef brigade which really worked their magic. Mission accomplished. I strongly recommend Era restaurant and of course we will be back very soon.

This is a great restaurant experience in Hanoi. My Vietnamese friends in Hanoi introduced me to this wonderful place. Duan, the owner, and his staff were cheerful and accommodating, introducing me to many wonderful dishes. I've had many spring rolls in Viet Nam and Era's were the best ever and were accompanied by a lovely Bearnaise sauce. We also had a delicious beef with squash and a delectable tuna sashimi. The meal was accompanied by a sweet black rice wine. Amazing.

Super food. Really good service. Pumpkin soup was delicious as was the Veal salad, mango salad and the salmon steak. Good bottle of Puglian Italian wine not overly expensive.

Return visit to Hanoi after a long time due to travel restrictions.Had a wonderful experience at Era Restaurant from my previous visits. Still remember the excellent meals I had there. It was then serving European Asian fusion fare at very reasonable prices. Era Restaurant has now changed their menu to cater to the current clientele. Their signature chicken/chicken wing marinated with fish sauce and herbs was heavenly. It was fried to perfection. This was complimented with a crunchy sweet and tangy mango salad. Next was a stove top barbeque with a choice of well marinated meats complimented with a generous helping of greens as wraps. Lastly could not resist ordering their hotpot with Tom Yum soup base. Another plus for Era Restaurant is the prompt service it accorded to its customers. The boss is hands on to see to the details of service. To sum up , we had a wonderful dinner, good service and the same reasonable prices.
