Went there for spring restwurant week with friends and I was plesantly surprised by the quality of food. I really enjoyed the design of restaurant aswell, it was sleek and classy, eveyting was there. We got the menu for 20 euros ans the duck leg...just meled in mouth-so fat the best duck I have ever tried. In general all three courses were amazing, from starter to desserts-hands down. The only thing that I didn't really enjoy was the stuff, nothing much happened, but I wish she gave us more attention, all the tome we had to go to her ans ask for whevet we needed, like extra bread or salt and pepper. I understand that beeing alone at the restairant and working woth gueats and at the bar is not easy, but at the beggining we were the only ones there and lack of attention was a little drawback for me personally. Overall the food was amazing, really worth trying at least during reataurant week.More

I'm not that well-versed in the Latvian food scene and do not really know where to place this hotel restaurant, nor can I provide adequate context to the quality of the food in the restaurants of the surrounding area. Nevertheless, this is a pretty average...showing in any context. We had the "Crunchy croquettes with smoked bacon and parsnip purée" for starters, and while the croquettes were good (so was the accompanying salad), there was very little parsnip involved in the puree (but a lot of potato). The "Pearl barley risotto with forest mushrooms, asparagus and truffle oil" was, however, great, and I would certainly recommend this dish. The dish had very deep and earthy mushroom undertones, and was a pleasure to eat. I was planning on trying the guinea fowl, but got the calamari instead - as there was a large group of German tourists being fed at the same time, I capitulated and had the falsely brought dish. And it was really average, wouldn't recommend at all. For desert, we tried the "Napoleon cake" (which is a berriless mille feuille) and the assorted icecream - both were disappointments, especially the cake, as it was quite bland and even the berries did not help in bringing it to life.More

Good food, nice place, but service could be better. Nevertheless it would be improved - we had a promise.

The food is amazing! The service perfect and the price it's fine. Only need to have more information in front of the restaurant. Because it's inside the hotel Segevold and don't have any name outside.

Meal- We have ordered pumpkin cream soup with spicy goat cheese and pumpkin seed oil, sea trout tartare with quail egg, cucumber salsa and “melba” toasts as a starter, calamari and tiger prawns pan fried in herbs with warm spinach salad and harissa sauce and...filet Mignon steak with pearl barley risotto and gravy sauce as a main and unbelievably delicious hand-made dessert - „Napoleon” cake with pear purée and berry sauce... I would definitely recommend this place, as our meal was fantastic!!! Relaxed atmosphere, quick and very polite service.More
