This restaurant has everything! The food is amazing with just the right portions, prices are reasonable, the interior and atmosphere are cozy, and the waitstaff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always with a smile. I definitely recommend checking it out when you're in Riga!

Our friends and my wife and I spent a delightful evening at Mio, whose dishes are ample and presented in an artistic way. Service was impeccable, and if you're fortunate enough to get Madara as your server, you'll be delighted. The menu of food and alcoholic beverages offers plenty of variety at reasonable prices. Don't let the feminine ambience detract from an outstanding dining experience in Riga or anywhere.

We chose this restaurant mainly on the basis of the good reviews. It is located somewhat outside the immediate city centre, but is still quite easy to reach by taking a stroll. The first thing you notice is all the decorations. You have to love it but it certainly does give a special atmosphere which makes this place stand out.
As a starter we had the Gazpacho with avocado and shrimps. This was as good as the best gazpacho we've had in Spain in some upscale restaurants. And a huge bowl too, which kind of put us into some trouble for the main courses. Which was a truly excellent but also huge BBQ burger and a large plate of house pasta (tagliatelle) with seafood. Both my business partner and myself are no small eaters and used to US size meals but this was really a lot of food.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend this place if you visit Riga, price/performance is also excellent. 5 out of 5, that doesn't happen very often.

Superb restaurant! Very refined and elegant furnishings. Well-chosen background music. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The exceptional dishes: high quality dishes with refined and harmonious combinations. But I think I have to make a note: I state that I love animals very much, but serving drinks to two fox dogs on the table set with a great lace tablecloth, was neither elegant nor respectful of other guests. My friend and I decided to get a cup of coffee in the afternoon, at 13:00, on Sunday, October 1, and the waitress refused us because “there is no table.” According to her, you are welcome here only by reservation. What an incredible restaurant. I cannot adequately describe it, as I can readily say that it was the best place I have ever eaten (and without boasting, I have eaten at Michelin starred places, including Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons).
My husband and I chanced upon Mio and fell in love before we had even walked through the door.
Outside was gorgeous and inside was stunning. The words "Parisienne Courtesan's Boudoir" came to mind. It was amazing, with wonderful furnishings creating an amazingly romantic ambiance.
The waitresses were lovely and the food was even better. I had the truffled musroom risotto and honestly, it was heaven on a plate. My husband had burger and chips and he stated that it was the best burger he has ever had.
We were just disappointed that we were only hungry enough for supper rather than dinner, as we would have loved to have found room for dessert.
If you are in Riga and want somewhere special, particularly if you want a romantic restaurant, you really must try Mio.

Had a great dinner in cozy and romantic atmosphere. The waitress was very competent, and helped us a lot by informing us early, that the portions are big enough that if we want a dessert in the end, we should probably take only starters or only something from main dish, so we at first we took only starters which were delightful and we really did not need anything more that dessert in the end which as expected was delicious. We are definitely going to come here again to taste something from main dish which options also took our interest. If it is possible for you, i recommend to come here for amazing evening.

Mio had incredibly tasty food in a beautiful restaurant. Easily the best food that we found on our trip to Riga. I think it tells a lot that I could have eaten my husbands whole mushroom risotto and I don't even like mushrooms. Staff is friendly too. I would definitely go here again.

An unique interior and exterior, very nice and helpful staff. Have a hyge box with toys for children to play with, which is a big plus when visiting with child. Ordered two main meals: chicken with cinnamon was very average, felt too dry and quite tasteless, although I like the idea of using cinnamon for it. The second meal - beef cheek with caremelised onnions and wine sause was wow: very soft and well balanced between ingridients, one of the best beef meals I've eaten. If possible would definetely visit again for a romantic dinner.

I went to visit this restaurant after a recommendation from a Latvian friend back home & it didn’t disappoint. I got the house seafood pasta dish and my mother got the traditional fish & chips. stunning food, nice staff and gorgeous decor! Well worth a visit when in Riga

We went for a date night dinner, made a reservation beforehand - I suggest for you to do the same, it was packed full when we arrived.
We had carpaccio and warm chicken salad for starters, both stunning dishes, carpaccio one of the best I have had in Riga. For main I optioned for octopus and my SO chose the duck. Both were good, but maybe not the best.
For desert we had mix of sorbet and the berry meringue cake. Cake was probably the star of the whole evening.
Overall very good experience. Starters and desserts hands down the best! We are looking forward to come back to try more.
