The Index cafe just up from the Freedom monument serves the best coffee in Riga. The Mochas are also extremely good- so much so that we visited multiple times during our stay. Cakes are also amazing!

Longtime casual visitor here. The coffee and bakery is amazing, I would say it's a much more refined taste none of the other coffee shops in Riga have. Sandwiches are a little 'meh' though, a bit bland. It is odd since the Index Cafe sandwiches you can buy in any larger Narvesen taste much better. Too fresh in store, perhaps?... More

This is a great stop for breakfast, coffee, or a snack. Prices are low, there's ample seating, and the service was pretty quick. I

Huge bowl of solyanka served with nice baguettes and other additionals for 5€? Yes it is possible! I have tried also fish soup with seafood, for 7€ you get quite wide range of seafood - always nice! I especially have to higlight service and staff with perfect English, smiley face and always helpful. Thank you for hosting us 4times in... More

Good place for quick coffe and lunch. Tasty food, pretty big portions but this is not a restaurant more a cafe. Still you will feel free to do your computer work and talk on phone as restaurants you mostly visit for their food, atmosphere and creativity. Prices are normal for the quality of food you can actually get for it.... More

Good place for having business lunch. You can eat inside or takeaway. Affordable prices and the most important - very fast servise. Highly recommend if you work somewhere in the district.

We had breakfast at the cafe near the boulevard. We ordered eggs, bacon, porridge and the cottage pancakes all dishes to share. The cottage pancakes were so tasteful! I need to find a similar recipe. It should be a local speciality here in Latvia. Try them!

Ate a late breakfast/early lunch here. Extensive menu choice, not the cheapest, but food is to a high standard. Service efficient, and nicely decorated inside.

Nice café and a very friendly staff. The coffee was superb. We had breakfast and would strongly recomend the oatmeal. Well worth a visit.
