A tastefully furnished restaurant in a lovely park in the centre of Riga; the understated Scandinavian interior design, with plenty of room between tables, sets the tone. Service is excellent, professional but not snooty. We didn't choose the set 9 course menu at €60 because it was said to take up to 4 hours. Instead we at a la carte,... More

If you're looking for the foodie experience in Riga ? Step in this one, great location and view and the trendy food place downtown Riga and close to the old part. A lot of good wines, the Prosecco aperitif is really cheap. Plenty of amazing meat and fish starters, main courses and great desserts. Definitively a place for which the... More

A Russian friend said Bibliotheka is number one restaurant in Riga so we had to try it out. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted like in a communist cafeteria: the girl taking our coats and bringing us to our table was uncourteous. Once seated I had to change seat with my wife as the sofa she was sitting in... More

We reserved a table for four on Saturday evening and as we expected the place was full which added greatly to an already impressive atmosphere. The food was very delicious and presented in and inviting and inventive way, however, something in the service was missing; our waitress did not fully speak English which subtracted affected her presentation of the food.... I had dinner here togheter with three collegues. Food is intermational and served in a nice way. The prices are a bit high, but you get what you pay for. I would recommend this restaurant. It's also quiet without much noise from people and no background music.

Our hotel receptionist (Mercure, Riga) recommended this place as one of the top restaurants in Riga. We decided to go for the "secret" 9-course chef's degustation menu (the entrees were not discslosed prior to being served) and were literally blown away by the presentation, quality and taste of the dishes. The wines were skillfully chosen to enhance the overall culinary... More

We were recommended this place and reserved s table for four adults on saturday evening (need to prebook in weekends). We followed the flow and chose the 9 course menu and suggested wine package. Not a choice for children. That made this a memorable evening, sitting almost four hours by the table, and the time flew. Nice combinations, a lot... More

We were 3 persons trying the biblioteka nr 1. All of us were amazed at what the chef was able to cook up - we were left with a feeling of one of the best meals we ever had. The tasting menu is highly recommended.

This was hands down one of the best meals I've ever had. I strongly suggest doing the tasting menu. It cost 60 euros, which I know is a big cost for most to eat (no pun intended) but is well worth it. You will be hard pressed to find a better deal at comparable restaurants other than some lunch menus... More

With a perfect location in a park close to the city center - Riga is not a very big city so you get there in minutes if you stay anywhere close to the central part of town - this very nice restaurant, which has the positive and cozy atmosphere of a private library (it never was a library, as far...
