Went here to try their shashlyk and were not disappointed - it was very delicious and tender. I would highly recommend their adjika sous for shashlyk. Service was great and we enjoyed our family dinner there - not many great restaurants in Riga where you could go with 2 small children and feel great after the visit.

In the evening all was reserved and we came back the next day for dinner. Good service. Good food. We took salad "Nozik and "Jahnatil", 4 different soups, from appetizers I like very much "Tender eggplant rolls" , shashlik and manti. Everything was very good. Portions not big. I definitely recommend this place.

This restaurant was very nice. Yes prices maybe a bit high for some dishes but it is totally worth it. They make fresh bread. Love their lamb shashlik (bbq). Dumpling soup (chuchvara). Great atmosphere with good national Uzbek music. Waiters wearing national costumes and good decorations around.

Asian/oriental restaurants are often having something magical about them, but Uzbekistana is clearly lacking any. The place is decorated in a rather simplistic manner and the food does not really taste as native Uzbek food is expected to taste (based on my experience with other Uzbek restaurants in different countries). It's an OK place to eat, but you could definitely... More

Ordered several starters and shared it all between us. One salad, some vegetarian dishes and 2 chicken skewers. Perfect! Loved the interior of the restaurant! Typical Uzbek. They have beers on tap and do wine by the glass. Recommended!

Stopped in for dinner with our local Latvian friends. We opted to sit outside and savour the last of the seasonal sun. We orded the tandir bread and 4 main courses (2 pilafs, 1 dumpling meal, 1 dumpling soup). We each had an alcoholic drink, including their very tasty fruit wines. The food was delicious. We were all very happy... More

We popped in here for lunch on our last day to savour our last bit of sunshine. It had some delightfully decorated tables lining the outside of the restaurant. We opted for the veal and lamb shashlik skewers, which were cooked to perfection. There were a number of dishes I would have loved to have tried, but unfortunately they required... More

We were recommended Uzbekistana by the landlord of our apartment. It turned out to be a change form Latvian cuisine with a very different spin on the meats and spices. We started off with a yougurt-based drink called Arai, cheburek (spinach & cheese), eggplant rolls, kuvurma chuchvara (lamb dumplings) and bread from the tandir. Apart from the bread which was... A wonderful restaurant in a quiet residentail area of Riga, don't let the location away from the popular old town put you off, a great choice of authentic meals from a colourful and varied menu cooked to perfection. The service was polite, prompt and professional, the waiter was only too happy to spend a few, moments explaining the choices and... More
