There is a special sign on the window - SupportLocalBusiness. But this business evidently does not care about any support, as they are working till 6pm (not 9pm stated everywhere) six months so far, but the owners were lazy enough to change their timetable info...neither on their doors nor on the Internet.More

After walking around most of the day, it was wonderful to stop for a lovely apple cake and cup of tea! Very busy and after you taste the pasty you know why!

First of all, they made best coffee (strong, flavourful british breakfast tea), and have best cakes and buns in Riga,

The confectionary doesn't look bad at first glance but the standards of hygiene are truly awful. Pigeons flying in and out of the shop didn't make the staff do a thing before a bird had already stepped on some bread loaves. Judging by the staff's...actions, pigeons are seen as harmless pets. Wouldn't eat here again.More

I was nicely suprised, coz coffee offered good selection of desserts, biscuits, cakes and sweets. You must try karolinski torta, it was truly amazing. Also very nice interior.

Visited whilst wandering around Riga Old Town. Good selection of traditional cakes, matched with hot drinks. Service was not the greatest (a bit grumpy!), but food was good to mean we would return.

Been thete three times in a raw, and will visit them again. Freshly baked cakes, pies, Strudels, cookies, breads and many more. Every day something different. I am in troubles suggesting something, since everything we tried was great. Atmospheric place, very efficient service. We have...seen entire tourist groups barging in, and miraculously within a few minutes they all are settled. Obviously, the place is popular. No wonder. It has its character and is good at what it is doing, unlike many other run-off-the-mill caffe's around, which you distinguish mostly by names. Good for singles, couples, families with (many) kids and just for anyone in want of good beverage and, especially, good cake.More

Are you ready for an unhealthy helping of apple strudel or Pavlova with great coffee or tea? Apple Charlotka? Or some other mouth watering pastry in between meals while walking around Riga’s magnificent old town? Go straight to Rigensis Bakery located at Tirgonu Iela 8...Old Town in Riga. Our waiter that evening challenged our knowledge of Riga and Latvia by saying we had dined at the two best restaurants in Riga and had pastry at Riga’s best bakery. So what, he wanted to know, did we really know about Latvia? All we needed to know, as it turns out, for a three day visit!!More

Very nice and lovely place. A bakery where you can have a delicious breakfast or snack in the afternoon. The aroma of delicious fresh bread. We always had breakfast here. Delicious national pastries with bacon, a huge selection of pastries, cakes, pies, good coffee. From...the early morning everything is fresh, hot, tasty. Located on a cozy, beautiful street of the old city, nice interior. Definitely recommended for a visit.More

Good prices for old town. You would expect them to be higher but no. Fresh bread and nice cakes with all kinds of toppings. You will have to wait in a small two minute line though.
