Great food and friendly service in a unpretentious restaurant. It appear to be off the tourist trail and mostly frequented by locals. I don’t know why perhaps because it’s not in the old town. We recommend it as an alternative to the old town restaurants.

I wish this restaurant would exist forever. it's been there since my twenties. This place is the best for atmosphere, service, and food. Never fails to tick all boxes. We came from lunch in another popular place nearby(I wonder why...MIO)which was an unpleasant experience. From...the moment we entered-it was pure pleasure. We sat at the bar - the bartender was engaging in conversation and served drinks with attention to detail. After we moved to the table - the waiter indulged us in the history of the particular wine(waiters in Osiriss is a "signature best" in Riga - also this time. Dinner was excellent and relaxing, just the perfect choice for the evening. Thank you !More

We had ordered in advance, a table at the window if possible and I came early to make sure. Right on the dot my friend showed and he ordered a beer, which allowed me to order what I wanted - a good wine for the...meat: Beef. Semi-well-done. It's my favourite dish with them, we discussed the other beef-dish, but went for the the classic, and my being a client since Sept 1994 this was the optimal choice - though, I must add that any dish they serve is my choice. Set up by the original owner of which i long am a fan, Mr Zagars, you know everything is quality. The choice of red wine was a Zinfandel, a red, but am unsure if it was the Californian version, or its Italian sister the Primitivo. More important is its taste which had to be rich, powerful and elegant, still, to stand up against, and well-match the shalots which sweeten when being prepared and the jam sauce it traditionally would be and it held out well! Beyond my expectations as many wines turn out quite bland these days. If any comment on the dish itself, the flavour was a little too marked by the ''etikis'' and I would suggest you hold this down, a pinch! Other - we had a great waiter and also a very understanding one and I and we appreciate his little gesture towards us. The reason, I will always make this my place of call'!:) Thank you, Staff of The Osiriss!More

This also being a Swedish classic is one of the best dishes they've had since the dawn of time. And I just had this craving inside me and was not disappointed, but you must use the lemon and squeeze some atop as well as freely...use the ground, black, peppar! Couple it with Earl Grey Tea and best have it on the porch outside watching the street activity is certainly ''my cup of tea''. No more, no less.More

we did not book a table but were quite early to visit this place and that was a luch because 20 minutes after we arrived the place was full and hopeless to get a table without reservation. The steak was really medium as we asked...and the taste was delicious! good value versus price. Good service as well.More

Very pleasant waitress attending us, not too crowded, clean as always - good atmosphere, nice art on the walls by well-known local artist always inspires ELEGANCE. The waitress sold in my beverage well and I nearly took two pots..

One of the very first European cafes in Riga with good food, drinks and service. I recommend the menu of the day.

Outstanding restaurant that has not changed since going in 17 years (though its been open far longer), the decor is classic with its dark green marble tables and the food is outstandingly fresh and vibrant, the service so easy and relaxed. Breakfast, lunch and dinner,...all meals should not be missed when you are staying in Riga. Prices are very reasonable and great value for money.More

One of my business friends from days passed, cam through Riga inviting me to the Osiris. We both agreed this is the restaurant we like the best and one thing we both remarked on was the great bread they make - Danish style (Merry Baker...of Riga/Zemtsov), fresh, soft, tasty - Always good! Adding to this my all-time favourite, the Beef (Tournedos-like) in some sort of jam, with Roesti potato cooked like an intricate net of potato strings - crisp and crunchy with the sauteed Shallots -- I was in heaven and ate slowly savouring each piece..with sparkling water and lemon and ice!. A large Cappuccino rounded off and I already long for the next time - maybe with a good red? Thank you to Osiris - the Chef and the always good lady waitress who is a true favourite of mine!!:)More

The menu is truly excellent. Everything a person could wish for and provided useful info about the allergens which is a rare thing in Riga. You can easily see what is gluten-free for example. The wine menu is just as lovely as the food menu,...and the place has a rare vibe which is hard to explain, but it is very positive.More

The reason I keep coming back is the place has class. The standards are high, the waiters/barmen - and -women show sophistication, know their job and are very accommodating to all their guests. Add then the almost most import - the kitchen - always delivering...- something I have experienced since 1994 when I first came - with exciting flavours, how the food looks on the plate, the porcelain acting a suitable background and helping the mouth-watering...a healthy mix of smaller dishes for both pockets and tastes and make you wanting to ''dig in'', and then to add the art on the wall, always trendy, often ahead - but with taste and still exotic. You can come for a breakfast and with scrambled eggs, or a brunch lunch, afternoon coffee or a late night eat! Parking around the corner. P.s. There have been a few times when as I was seated at the bar, the President/PM of the country with entourage outside, has come for a late night dinner without any disturbance as another person could. ''My hat is on a constant off'' to Osiris, it's Owner it's staff and l look forward to many more times there!:)More

Yesterday I, to just quench my thirst in this royal heat we are receiving, and to stop my hunger from reaching further, I had the shrimp covered toasted bread with a slice of lemon, a branch of Dill, and some mayonnaise and it tasted as it...should. Served by the excellent lady who long has worked there, completing 1,000 steps measured before noon I was in Hog Heaven...and downed my portion all too fast,,More

This is a historic venue in Riga’s short culinary history. The decor needs re thinking, no atmosphere and the staff appeared disinterested. The food was average for the prices Overall didn’t meet our expectations on any level which was very disappointing

I ordered the pork chops with the mushrooms sauce. No taste, everything is blend. Too much proteins and not enough vegetables. They had horseradish on the plate, which does not go well with a mushroom sauce at all. There is better restaurant for that price.
