Like every first time visitor of Riga we had to have a dinner on the rooftop terrace of this hotel. As it was raining that day and we were passing by the hotel in the afternoon, we stopped in order to check that the rooftop...is covered. Which it was. But we were barely greeted. The restaurant is located very central at a terrasse in the Old town. From the terrasse you have a fine view over some of the nearby roofs. We had a set menu and the Food and wine was really nice. I was not so impressed...with the service of the staff. They did not seem serviceminded. Maybe they were tired :)More

I visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Despite the restaurant’s award and positive online reviews, the food was extremely bland and the service was poor. The plating was also very unappealing and looked like it belonged on a child’s table. Given...the high price, I can’t in good conscience recommend this restaurant to others. I’m rating 1 star to reflect my overall disappointment.More

Enjoyed a very nice meal (indoors - the terraces is seasonal). Attentive staff and an upmarket feel and of course the prices reflect this.

Came here for a meal as residents of the hotel, obviously the terrace wasn’t open due to it being February and snowing but nice scenery anyway of the church etc. Service was faultless by Christoph (hope this is correct) he looked after us very well...throughout the evening very polite and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing I had lamb shank my partner had steak it was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend and if we do ever visit Riga again will definitely have a meal here. Nice atmosphere with great views.More

Amazing terrace for a meal with the drinks and sunset seeing. Summer time they open roof and its very beautiful view of Old Town. Amazing service, good prices and cozy atmosphere. This is my favorite summer terrace within heart of old town. I highly recommend...this place. We had a fantastic meal at Gutenbergs - perfect lamb shank. Obliging waiter, we would definitely eat here again.

Food was ok / above average but service leaves is not up to standard for this kind of place. They managed to forget all other customers When a bigger group arrived. Still, I did enjoy my entrocote and pino noir.
