Every year we come here when we are in Latvia. This restaurant is just exceptionally amazing. Far from the busy downtown and that makes it the best. The atmosphere is cozy, beautiful, love the interior and exterior both. The staff is very friendly and the...food is absolute the best (and I travel a lot around the world, so I can definitely compare). We had the garlic bread and the baked camembert as starter, with two big glass of aperol spritz. Both taste and presentation is 5 stars. And if you think it can't be better you get the main course, it was duck breast with sweet potato puree and veggies, my friend ordered pork ribs. Just proper food porn. Topped it off with cream brûlée. Congrats to the chef, he is super talented, and congrats to his lovely wife, who was our waitress who was attentive, kind and friendly. Definitely recommend this place and we are one thousand percent will be back next time!More

I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. We had an amazing experience celebrating my mums 70th birthday. Beautiful venue with brilliant food, big portions. Service was prompt and professional- I didn’t ask waiters name, but man with beard was always available and nothing was too much....We had young kids with us and they could run around in the grass, which made it so much easier to keep them occupied. All in all great place.More

This restaurant seemed to me a bit worn out, everything seemed old, like tables, chairs, spoons and forks, glasses etc. Could be just their intended style, but at least the menu cards should be giving a clean feel, which they didn’t. The food was very...average. The service was ok. Except that the waitress grabbed our unfinished water bottle and brought it away! Will not return.More

Today I had chicken ceasarsalad which was absolutely terrible. This place is know for amazing atmosphere, which it was, but it is obvious they don't feel like they need to bother with the food. Not great salad,as I got few pieces of overcooked chicken, few...salad leaves and plenty of mayo based ceasar dressing, was terrible....More

Lovely cosy place, but sadly inattentive staff, mediocre precooked food. Much better places around. 2 stars just for the nice decor.

I had to order the meal at counter (not at he table), which wouldn`t be that bad, but nothing attested to that. Also while we were sitting at the table for like 10 min nobody metioned it although the place was empty and the personal...was besides doing nothing. However the reason for not ordering was wifes lactose intolorance and the fact that the meals are pre-made and they are what they are. Also with only 5 items on the menu the only options were either with dairy or not to our liking.More

A bit of a hidden gem.... no obvious external signage. Nice simple menu (excellent steak), service pleasant and efficient. Food excellent and reasonably priced. Nice surroundings, particularly in Summer in the attractive garden. Highly recommended !

Have visited during Restaurant Week event. Snacks aka carrot pure breads: delivered at the table, plates are missing (forgotten). Waited for 30 mins more for the plates to arrive. Starter: sliced carrot, wet green salad leaves, dressing 0 quality and one-month old fried in oil...breads added (broken tooth guaranteed), which was impossible to chew. Main dish: arrived after 1 hour (!) of waiting, was ok cantine-quality, call it a restaurant? No way! Desert: omg... disgusting basil muse, ball of ice cream served on hard sugar-candy base as the second attempt to break another tooth. The bill: waited another 40 mins. In total: 3:15h, 0-attention Service, food quality ... I still doubt I ate in a “restaurant”. Altogether: ok as off-road bistro quality and service somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Please skip this place. Overvalued, over-advertised. It’s really to be missed, don’t waste your time. Riga has a lot more beautiful and tasty places to choose from!More

Found the place on the internet prior the visit and looked very impressive on the pictures. And it did not disappoint. Amazing place. Food delicious. Atmosphere very welcoming. It is definitely even better during summer when outside seating is available. The food came out very...quickly as well. However the only criticism would be that as it was first time for us we did not really know the system of the restaurant. They do not have any menu as I believe they change it every day so it is only available on the wall at the counter. Nonetheless we were not even offered a drinks menu so the whole ordering process got complicated. But all in all this would not stop me from returning back in my next visit!More

Annas Darzs is a modern style little eatery with a small garden that I am convinced is quite nice during summer time! Friendly service and good fresh food made my lunch a good experience that I can recommend!

After reading the reviews I booked for Sunday brunch well in advance. I had very high expectations and was not disappointed. In fact it was a highlight of our stay in Riga. Brunch starts at 11:30am Saturday and Sunday and it is buffet style. It...is 15 Euro each which includes the buffet, a juice and a coffee. There are small servings of each dish but no limit on how many times you went back for more. The food was bite size, delicious and constantly being replenished. This gave you a chance to sample many different dishes. One side of the buffet was savoury dishes and the other was sweet. The mini pastries and smoothies were delicious and I had the best Creme Brûlée ever! We also loved the atmosphere of the place - everyone was dressed up and it seemed to be mostly full of locals/family groups. Depending on the weather you can sit inside or outside in the lovely garden. It is situated over the river from the old town, hidden from view. I nearly cancelled as it is quite hard to get to as a tourist but I am so glad we went! Turns out that there is a bus stop right out the front which takes you back to the old town for 1Euro.More

If I’d live in an apartment, I’d go to this garden all the time. Since I have my own yard, I’ve been there only 3 times :) Food is good, they’ve recently added more items to the menu. Waiting stuff is super friendly - after...a waitress accidentally spilled a drink, we got 3 pieces of chocolate cake (amazing one) after the dinner on the house. Also, I had no problem to reserve a table just 2 hours before - and place was buzzing when we arrived. Highly recommendMore
