Beautiful place but average food

The restaurant is very close to the beach. It has a lot of space both inside and outside and is beautifully decorated. There was even a small art exhibition inside. The food, on the other hand didn't look or taste very nice, it was really average. The waiters were nice and polite but a bit slow.

Decent not Great

This was a decent restaurant. It is a nice location on the main street of Jurmala. The menu is small and the food was decent. I had the beef cheek and risotto which was okay. The pasta dish we had was a lot better.

Jaw dropping home made potatoes

Fine food for a reasonable price. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The home made potatoes are absolutely fabulous! The salads and vegetables that come with the main dishes are very tasteful.

Really bad experience

We had bad experiences visiting this restaurant. We come for dinner, there was not many people in the restaurant. We had to wait long time till we were served. The starter wasn’t fresh and tested terribly. They brought a wrong dish which was more expensive without letting us know ( we only noticed that when we saw the bill). When we asked about it they were very rude and nasty. We been eating at many restaurants in Jūrmala and can tell that it’s wasn’t cheapest but definitely the worst place to eat. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Our best lunch in Jurmala

This is a very good place with delicious dishes and nice service. A friend recommended this restaurant, and we visited it for the first time this year. The whole family enjoyed it very much. The meat and salad were excellent, and the shashlik was served with vegetables and nicely done young potatoes. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for the center of Jurmala. It will definitely be our go-to place to eat on future trips to Jurmala. The only thing to keep in mind is that the nearest parking is paid, but we had no problem leaving the car on the next street.

Waiting time for the order to be taken is too long. Left.

Can't even begin review the food, because waiters dropped a menu and never came back. Walked by 20 times at least, served locals and some Russian speaking people, had a chat with local dude putting a chain on his bike inside the terrace between the tables, but oh no, even a glimpse to our side is not what we do here. So .. 0 stars

Lovely place for family dinner

I would gladly recommend this place for: First, great service. The waiters gave us great recommendations, was very kind and polite and service was quick. Second, great food. Really tasty and portions are quite big too. Lastly, the atmosphere is very cosy, there is some fun baground music, lots of people. Dishes are wortj the price. Enjoy!

Disgusting Food and Absolutely Shocking Rude Service!

When arrived we were greeted very arrogantly by female waitress. We ordered soup which was very salty. I have asked for sour cream to make it taste better. And didn't send it back to the kitchen but I should have. To put extra salt is a trick to disguise not fresh/gone off food. My 5 year old daughter was brought sticked together spaghetti which also was not fresh and I asked for ketchup at least to make it taste better. No bread was provided. I also ordered aubergine schnitzel which was overfired and poured over with green nasty salty sauce, served with salad with overload of vinegar. Terrible! I did not finish aubergines. The bar tenders was talking a lot next to us and didn't care I had to shout out for bill. When bill was brough I saw 4 EUR charge for 1 drop of sour cream and ketchup. I called waitress to remove this fee as sauces should come free of charge, she said it is not her problem with NO apology. This is terrible customer service. She also advised to speak to manager if I am unhappy and I agreed. When manager came out , again NO apology but in rude manner asked me why i am unhappy and keep pointing to menu. I asked for sauces fee to be removed. The manager started right away to shout at me and saying that these are the prices and no fee will be removed. I was shocked to such bad treatment. He also called my voice very annoying, and that I am insane and should have not asked for sauced if I don't want to pay. I am willing to pay however before bringing them I would have liked to be advised that there is extra charge. In worldwide restaurants I visited there is usually no charge. The waitress also rudely noted that I have asked for it hence she brought it. Anyway manager continued in raised voice argue with me IN FRONT OF MY 5 YEAR OLD CHILD, who cried so badly afterwards as felt pity for her mummy. I refused to pay and walked away, the manager grabbed me by hand and stopped. SHOCKING! I asked barmen to call POLICE and was refused. Nobody could help me and I was all alone with my little girl standing helplessly while attacked by 2 careless barmen, 2 rude waitress, cooks and other guest watching judgmentally and 1 very aggressive manager. I called my husband crying for help but obviously he is at work and far away so could not help. I did pay the bill in the end to escape further bulling. It was heartbroken to watch my 5 year old seeing her mother being bullied and crying so much afterwards due to her mother publicly abused. I DONT recommend this restaurant to anyone as I have horrendous and shockingly rude experience in this restaurant. I advise to the director of 'JURA' in Jurmala to review their customer service and staff as they are just not willing to treat clients appropriately and are simply bullies. ( unless you are rich and famous ).

We went there 2 nights in a row as food was very nice and service too. A very large menu to choose from but the waitress gave us plenty guidance

Huge Disappointment- not recommended

We bumped into this restaurant during our walk in Jurmala and decided to have a lunch there. Plus points: The choice of the dishes on the menus is pretty vast. Location is central Portions are rather big Minuses: - The service is pretty slow, despite only 1/5 of the tables were occupied. - We were three people and all received our food in different time. So basically while one was still eating, other person already finished and the third one did not even get his food. - The quality of food is very average, although prices are high -interior is old and kitschy, really bad taste in decoration Attention: check your bill carefully! We were charged for the empty soft drinks bottles 0.20 Eur. It is not the money problem, but the principle! When we asked the waitress why we need to pay some deposit money for the bottles (which we actually did not have on the table, as the soft drinks were brought in glasses) the waitress said these are their rules so if we want she can bring the empty soft drinks bottles to us! We asked what are we supposed to do with them, she suggested we take them to a shop to get the deposit money back! :))) I said that I never saw a restaurant in my life when the guests would leave a restaurant taking empty bottles they consumed with.. Anyway the waitress refused to correct the bill, still insisting we should take the bottles :) So this restaurant is making profit on each guest in every way possible. Ridiculous to to the maximum…

Next to the Concert Hall

Dirty place, old used space, fly flies, awful smells. Antisanitary. We’ve been waiting for meals for a while. I could not stop thinking about washing my hands after touching anything on the table. Food was more ir less ok, but meat was gummy and hard.

Food is really good. Service average.

Service here is average. I would not call it good neither bad. The food was very good. We took for my son chicken soup with noodles and it was really good. Noodles were self-made, just like from my childhood. I asked something for me without meat and waiter offered fried potatoes with mushrooms. It was perfect homemade dish. It is a good place to have a lunch.

The staff is very rude. When we arrived, almost all the places were taken. We asked the waitress are there a free place or not. She promised to find out. After a minute she was back, but no answer gave to us. We asked one more time. The answer we received - go inside and take a place, what is unclear?! Of cause, we were gone. Such a service is unacceptable.
