Good old Gubernator! This place is in business for over 20 years and has excellent service! One of the waitresses works there for over 15 years as I meet her everytime I go there. Love their bread platter with flavoured butter selection which comes free...before your meal. A good selection of traditional meals! They serve a selection of nice house beers too. I go there every time I am in Daugavpils and hope they do well in the future!More
The place is amazing. The menu is mile long. The food is good/ok. But the staff. I think I was invisible or unwanted person. They totally ignored you. No smile or questions about the food or desert etc. No smile ? This place seems not...to be for tourists - only for local people.More
The food might not be very luxurious, but the interior will leave a great impression. Food was tasty and a big and rich portion. Staff was very nice, very polite, not anoying or anything. We asked if we could look around at all those interesting...items in the room, staff agreed and even showed us ghe VIP room (for private evebts) where even more items were exponated. Chicken Kiev was pretty good and accompanied by frozen fries. Nothing special. Potato soup was good but the Ceps (mushrooms) dominated as the potatoes were no where to be found. The chicken salad was a bit odd but taste was fine. Attentive table service. OK...prices.More

It’s located at the basement. Tasty food and bear with great prices. I totally recommend this place. Plus the decoration is unique and rustic.
We went twice to this restaurant. They have an extensive menu - all very reasonably priced and super tasty. Their food is mainly eastern European (including dishes from the Caucasus) and their portions are nice. Service and ambiance are great. The best restaurant we have...visited in Daugavpils.More
Charming cellar restaurant eclectically decorated. Had the house special baked pork in a mustard sauce. Wonderful and inexpensive. Grilled potato and vegetable sides also tasty. Excellent service. Beer, wine and spirits all available. 5 stars!
Located just a step outside centre in a cellar this restaurant seems to be frozen in time (from 70-ies? 80-ies?). But with good quality local food, good portions and good staff. So it is up to visitor - to choose some very posh venue with...average (or also posh and expensive) food or this one.More

Nice service and not too high prices. The appearance of the pub is also not bad. It is modeled on the cellars. I drank all kinds of ciders there, which I liked. A good place to meet friends.

We're planning to come again. The menu has excellent choices for everybody. Light house beer was tasty. The fried tongue was great.

My husband had a dish from the menu and I had special offer of the day.Mine was 3 EUR,and his 10 EUR,but we got the same.It was really strange and disappointing.
It is strange that you did not ask the waiter or the administrator for clarification. And how to believe it?
