We went here because of the recommendations. They said in their website that their origins are in "pub culture". I'd say that is pretty far from the truth in the atmossphere, it was very clinical and clean and the music was the billboard top 200...hits only. But this is a restaurant and not a bar so that did not bother that much. The service was bit slow, but friendly and the waitress did get few orders wrong but corrected them afterwards. We had to fetch drinks few times from the counter because we could not get service, so that is the minus one star. But the foods were all great and the drink selection was good for a restaurant, some local craft beers, good wines and international drinks. We had very special but awesome ribs as appetrizer, lamb burgers were great but not terribly unique and carrot cake was really not a carrot cake but good nevertheless.More

Fab food and lovely people. I went solo last week on a very snowy cold night. Wine was delicious and I had a lovely chicken schnitzel with herb butter and mash. I lost my earring there and amazingly they found it and let me know...the next day! See you in December!More

We have visited this place two times. First time we went because everybody were talking about it so we decided to have a date night there, when we asked for recommendations the waiter didn't exactly know what to say or what to recommend for wine....We ended up ordering ribs and burgers, when they got to us they were cold, so we feel like we didn't get the full experience and we thought that all the food were overpriced, but we did enjoy the wine we decided to order. Also had problem with getting the check, we did have to wait quite a while for our waitress to bring it. The second time we went, we went with family and thought maybe it is worth giving it a second chance. First of all two dishes never arrived to us, and later when walking out we did notice that we did pay for one of the deserts. But as it was a bit hard to get the attention from our server and it was quite a long wait time we didn't even waste spending time on that. We decided to just share things. Can say that the price these dishes have are not worth it, you can get these types of wings much cheaper in old town. Also you don't get a lot for this money. Pub foods but 50% higher prices, foods aren't that much special, a bit skill, recipes and ingredients you could probably make these at home as well. Can say that I do not plan on giving this place third chance.More

They serve OK food for the price of great food. I am not sure why they charge 9 euro for fries since these were the worst fries I’ve ever tried including frozen fries from supermarket. The nail to the coffin was the fact that after...asking for check I waited 20 mins just to be ignored by the waitress who passed me several times. I had to go to the bar myself and get the check. Not worth the money they are charging.More

Great food, interesting and varied menu, lovely personnel, cozy atmosphere, reasonable prices, clean bathrooms. Definitely would recommend!

Excellent food! The restaurant also has a really nice view and great cocktails so you could easily spend the whole night there.

If you are looking for a pub with a modern twist then this is it. This pub has the best view and atmosphere in Tartu! Definitely try the pork sliders next time you pay a visit.

Great place which offers pub style dishes in a modern key. Visited with a group of friends and everyone found something for their taste. I especially enjoyed the ceviche and potato pancakes. The appetisers are great for sharing - the cheeseballs were gone in a...second! To get your night going, I recommend the Rhubarb Tom Collins and Paloma, which were total hits.More

We were visiting Humal with our friends on Friday. Super lively and open restaurant, lot of people with excellent and especially large drink and food cart. A lot for everyone.

Words cannot describe. What a find! There are few things in life that make you feel the same way as was my visit to Humal. The first gulp of water after you have been thirsty for a long time. When you pee after holding it...for a long time. Your first kiss. All was perfect - the food, the welcome, the wine, the service and the atmosphere. Can't recommend highly enough. A must visit place if you happen to be in Tartu.More
