I often order the daily pizzas form Taverna restaurant. The best way I would describe their pizza is that they put a lot of stuff on the pizza, which is great and their daily pizza deals are great value, however the pizza dough could be better and quite often the pizzas tend to be greasy. The quality of the pizzas has been quite stable throughout the years.
I don't have any experience with any of the other meals that they offer so I can't comment on those.
Overall, I think that Taverna's pizzas are great.

A very nice restaurant with reasonable prices. They offer mostly pizza, so if you are looking for some other kind of food, you may want to choose another restaurant. The pizza was very good, offered in three sizes. The pizza is more thick with lots and lots of ingredients.

Quite low prices but good food. Not so cosy but nothing to complain. Beef cheek with mashed potatoes was delicious and pizzas were also good.

One of the Worst Places I've Encountered in My Trips.
The service is absolutely poor, the waitresses talk to each other and circle around in circles without caring about the customers who wait and when they finally come to the table their way of doing is arrogant and unhelpful.
Even though our beers were already quite ready on the counter they were uninterested until the foam disappeared completely.
Not to mention the food.... after a month around the Baltic republics eating local foods if you see a pizzeria you want to taste how they propose it abroad obvious that it is not the same as ours would miss but... this did not even have the slightest kinship except vaguely in appearance.
Abundantly stuffed with Cinnamon which would then be Cinnamon but as you write it down, it has nothing to do with pizza.

I have been to Taverna many times, but ordered pizzas.
On sunday evening i went there again, but this time wanted to try something different.
I wanted to order grilled beef with red wine sauce, but it wasnt available.
Okay then, i ordered grilled pork fillet with cheese-cream sauce, over-baked potatoes and roasted vegetables. At that time, there was like 8 other people eating. We waited food over 30 minutes. When i went to ask, how long does it take, they brought the food right away.
I am really sorry, that i didnt make a picture, because i was really hungry..But it was a disappoinment. The pig was dry. All the plate was full of mushrooms, wich wasnt mentioned at all ( i dont eat mushrooms and surely didnt want to order it). There was no roasted vegatables. And over baked potatoes was just a regular mashed potatoes. I think the sauce was the best part of the dinner.

We always aim to eat here on our visits to Tartu and are never disappointed. The quality of the food is very good and the prices are exceptionally reasonable. The service is friendly and efficient.

I had a pizza in this restaurant and I was quite disappointed. Firstly they have no options for vegans, so i asked to remove the cheese from the vegetarian pizza, the vegetables on the pizza where low-quality and, I'm not sure, but it tasted like frozen vegetables. Eventually, they told me that they do not have oil to put on the pizza.
