Me and my fiancee are regular visitors of Japan; we love the country and culture. Haku is our little slice of the Japanese kitchen here in Tallin; it is the best Japanese restaurant we have been to (and we've been over the globe a few...times) outside of Japan. Lovely atmosphere, great tasting food, and authentic calming location. The perfect dinner out. We'll be coming back here on a regular bases.More

One of the best Japanese restaurants I visited in Europe. It is small and cosy. We shared 4 starters and they all were great. Fish was very fresh and one of them I never had before. Our wifes enjoyed desserts (they never has so good...Japanese desserts). Men enjoyed special Japanese whiskey. I had a few before, but this was the best. We saw 2 Japanese couples there. I think it is an indication, that the food is authentic. The service was fast and friendly!More

Really excellent and unfortunately it is only possible to give 5 star as a maximum score. A must visit restaurant!

Excellent, delicious starters and desserts. Really loved these and would go again any day just dedicating all the evening to these mouthwatering plates. The main (octobus) good but a bit chewy; not as tasty and carefully prepared to every detail as all the rest. Pleasing...service and romantic atmosphere a bit outside of the old town. Overall would love to return here and definitely will.More

This place was great. Small, family owned, traditional. The food was prepared to a high standard but keep in mind the menu is small. Everything on the menu was worth trying. We had the chef’s special which was salmon and tuna sashimi, fried squid and...a few other dishes. It was amazing, I did not want to share the sashimi. We can’t wait to come back and try more.More

Me and my boyfriend absolutely adore japanese cuisine and try to have it everywhere we travel. We have visited multiple restaurants in Tallinn(which is where I’m from) but this is by far the best and this is difficult for me to say as I’m a...huge Tokumaru fan(another good japanese restaurant). After googling a little bit and trying to find a new restaurant where to go to we decided to try Haku. I like that the restaurant is a little bit hidden away so it isn’t crowded with annoying finnish customers as every other place in tallinn on the weekend. The interior is just beautiful and the food and service match it. The sauces are absolutely splendid . Cannot wait to visit again and get the chefs choice. I’ve read a couple of reviews saying that the service was slow, I would like to disagree. Anyone who paid attention would’ve understood that the main waitress, who is probably one of the owners, is the only one serving tables. Taking that into consideration, the service was quick and efficient. Btw we had the chefs appetiser(crispy chicken on that night), sashimi, beef tenderloin, tonkatsu and sesame ice cream. Star of the night for me was the tonkatsu but everything else was amazing as well!More

Nice and calm atmosphere. kind and good service from the waitress. I had the misu soup for starter. this was not a great experience, because the soup wasn't hot, and it was a bit tasteless. then I had misu marinated beef as a maincours. this...was great in taste, but not quite warm when it was served. A nice place, that deserve greater food.More

A few yards from the old town but worth the visit. My eel was perhaps mediocre but the rest we enjoyed was excellent. Sushi compared well even with our recent experience in Tokyo. Okinawan whisky and sparkling sake, nice surprises on the drinks menu. On...the pricier side but worth it too.More

Dear Mr Indrek Kasela (owner of new Japanese restaurant Kanpai) Regardless of we are your business competitor, we find it is not ethical to treat same business people like this. I serviced you that night with kindles and I find that such comment is not...More
