Welcome animal fans and friends to the Nurri Cat-Cafe! ATTN !! We offer delicious meals and a relaxing break from city noise in a cafe, surrounded by the company of cats! Our cats are from animal shelters and we take care of them in the best possible way. We choose kitties who love the company of humans, so you're sure to get along with each other. To ensure that we meet hygine standards, all of the animals are cleaned regularly, as well as regular visits to the vets for health checks. The most important reason to visit the cafe, however, is to spend time with the cafe's 9-11 cats, who will do their best to drive off stress, fatigue and of course, to melt your heart! You can play with them, take pictures, or just give them a cuddle. To support the kitties we will add 6€ to your bill for adults, and half of it for pensioners and students. Kids are free- they support the case by playing!"

We like both cats and cafés, but the combination not always works. Nurri lacks atmosphere. The place looks empty and devoid of life. The waitress was very introvert and spoke barely English. The food was OK, but Kama is not my thing. Nothing wrong with the cats though. 2 stars for the café, one extra for the lovely cats, especially the red one.

Always makes me happy to come here and I do make a point of visiting Nurri every time when I'm in Tallin!
A pro tip :> get the Churus they sell for the cats, your table will be full of fluffy friends! Also at 3,5€ for a whole packet its not expensive either. The staff were very friendly as always and the food is good :)
The reason I didn't give 5/5 is because I would like to see the cat beds and some of the scrathing posts receive a little tlc and general maintanence. Maybe some tape roll for the windowside cushions and a brushing for the cats.
But as always we did enjoy our visit 100% and will be retourning!

Waitress, who was serving us was unfriendly. Left us with menus and didn't come back, so after 15 minutes I tried to walk towards bar to order and was told to get back to my table and she will come around. She didn't smile and service was very unpleasant. Cats were absolutely lovely and we enjoyed their company. However not sure I would be back as service put me off.

I called in advance to book a table. We didn’t get any info about the entrance fee but if it’s really for the animals, it’s okay. The standard of service really shocked us. The waitress didn’t speak Estonian very well, didn’t write our order down and forgot a lot of stuff. One of us got our order like 10-15 minutes before the others which meant that she was finished by the time we started. My mom ordered the salmon soup and it was filled with corn, like the soup was half corn. I ordered the vegan risotto but I have a feeling it was not 100% vegan, judging by my strong bellyache that usually happens only with dairy. I’m not sure if we were the only ones that didn’t think about it, but the smell of cat urine was quite bad. Cats pee but it’s really uncomfortable to eat with that kind of smells around you. Oh and the door that leads to the bathroom is broken or something because we got stuck and a grownup man had to use a lot of force to get us out. Also, not as many cats as we thought and our table had a nice view to the kitchen, one girl had her hair down and the “chef” or whatever microwaved a lot of food :)

What a wonderful idea - to run a cafe to support rescue cats. Yes, the service was slow as mentioned in other reviews, but this was to give us time to enjoy the beautifully kept and contented cats who were playing all over the cafe. There was an entrance fee but it was a small amount to help look after the cats in their rescue centres. We had good food and drinks and very friendly service, and were given a booklet telling us all about the cats in the cafe. I wish we could have brought some home, but am so glad they are being well looked after and hope locals will visit the cafe and adopt some of the adorable cats. The bad reviews are very unfair and we had a magical visit watching and playing with the well-fed, happy cats. I will make a point of returning every time I am in Tallinn.

We are visiting Tallinn with our 20 month old daughter, and this cafe is next to our airbnb. The idea was: let's drink something while our daughter is playing with the cats.
During the payment it turned out, that they would like to charge us for 10 EUROS as an ENTRANCE FEE. True story, that it is written on the wall while you enter the place, but for god's sake who is checking the walls while entering to a cafe, even without a baby? I have never seen a cafe with entrance fee, and also never saw a place where you pay for the entry when you are leaving the place. The normal way is that they inform us during the entrance, or inform us, when we sit at the table. None of them happened.
If we are talking about the animals, due to the fact that the adult ticket to the Zoo is 8 euro I simply can not validate the 10 euro entrance fee for a half hour experience.
If we are talking about service, then for the price a desert with a small glass of smoothie (10 eur fee + 2x5.55 pancake + 6 eur smoothie) we can have a normal lunch at the main square of the old town with professional service in a historical surrounding. Here we are facing with pure service, low quality furnitures, and want to charge us with an additional fee.
I just checked on the internet, in our hometown (Budapest) the same concept exists, obviously without entrance fee (Cat Cafe Budapest).
NOT RECOMMENDED.

The service was not the most pleasant. The senior waiter took our order And in a clear voice one big pasta And Väike pasta was said but only Väike pasta arrived on the table. Didn't go to ask how the meal was. Later, when we had drinks and I finished my pasta, he didn't come to take things from the table, and we repeatedly made eye contact with the servers. We had to go to the cash register ourselves to get the bill.

The service was way below average, decor very outdated and prices high for the quality offered. Ony three pasta choices and potate panckakes in the main menu. The entrance fee wasn't too clearly advertised. Cats were cute.

I read the reviews here before visiting this cat cafe, and I was worried about whether I should visit at first. In the end, I found that the service was good, the waiters were willing to try their best to communicate in English, the food was of good quality, and the cats were very enthusiastic. All in all, the experience was better than expected. It's not great value but I recommend it. Hope to come again next time, thank you! 👍🏻

Simply non-existent service and ridiculously high prices.
Plus the absurd entrance fee. The waiters talk to each other behind the counter, and are not interested in the customers who have already ordered. More than 3 out of 10 do not give food.
Ruined my family's Sunday.

Cats was only good thing there but the entrance fee was ridiculous.
Food was cold and service was terrible.
Interesting idea but place needs some refreshing and young service people need some training to be more open and talkative.

One of my favorite places to go, loved pasta it was very good. Cats are very cute, sadly could not pet them much, but it's ok you can't force animal. Friendly staff. Will come to visit soon again.

Went in mid-August 24th as a family in a good mood at Cat-Cafe Nurri. At the entrance, the master turned on the unbreakable Nazi. Lowered our mood, ghouls. Spoken in the local tribal vernacular, or suggested English. In English, I should have left right away, but the kids saw sleepy cats. We were two years ago - he was very nice then, in the great and powerful. There was no table available at the cafe then. The cats are cute and playful, but everything else was pretty awful. We ordered sweet pancakes with jam, but both of our pancakes were totally over-salted to the point of being inconsumable. We politely sent them back and got offered new ones, the server apologized back and forth. But the new pancakes seemed to have been made from the same batter as before so they were as disgusting as the previous ones. My partner got nauseous to the point of almost vomiting and I myself felt very uneasy. We obviously did not finish our plates, since it was impossible to eat a second bite. When we went to pay and leave, the servers were very uninterested in our experience so we just got out of there as soon as possible. Long story short, we ended up totally wasting our money and left with nausea and empty stomachs. Definitely will not be going back there.
