Our last night in Tallinn it was our second visit in the Farm restaurant. As we were so impressed the first time we decided to go there again. The service was excellent, our waitress Katrin spoke perfect English and she made our evening very special. I had Fisherman’s salad - absolutely delicious and my partner rabbit pate which he enjoyed it as well. I have had for my main grilled venison and veal - both dishes were excellent. Oh yeh almost forgot to mention that the restaurant interior very tastefully done. Highly recommended Must visit when in Tallinn

This restaurant is perfect in every respect. Ambiance - a beautiful large room with open kitchen. The interior design follows the “farm” concept but in this case it is a five star farm....a truly enjoyable ambiance Service - just impeccable, comparable to the best restaurants in Paris and Milano, and in multiple languages And of course the food. Several of the starters sounded very intriguing, I settled for the ice cream stick with a local fish (kilohaili/sprat) similar to anjovis. With a quail egg and salad. Awesome experience and a large portion for only €8. As main the grilled lamb, again a great choice. Good value for money. It is rare to find a restaurant that gets everything right without charging you a fortune.

Terrific Food - great atmosphere

The Farm is a great restaurant. The food is fantastic and innovative. The decor is spectacular. The staff is stuffy in the extreme. As I travel - I am struck by how good decent food is enhanced by a cheery welcoming staff and how terrific food, like at the Farm, is overshadowed by staff that are stiff and unwelcoming. Such a pity. I was at dinner VERY early - there were few tables being served...so there was really no excuse for the staff not to be nice. I hope that this review will help the restaurant round out its training to put a smile on everyone's face. The fresh baked bread, delicious soup and main could use a smile and a word of welcome.

Disappointing

This could have been so much better. First negative point was being seated next to a table of 10 noisy inebriated men. Thankfully we were relocated to a quiet table but the waiting staff spent their time supplying shots to the aforementioned table. Starters were good, my wife enjoyed her rabbit liver mouse and my lollipop sprat was delicious and novel. One main course of duck was excellent but my veal dish was stone cold. The waiting staff were inattentive so I nibbled away at the cold dish. It could have been acceptable if it had been warm enough. "Was everything OK?"..... Well, no. My food was cold. Given an explanation that one of the food warmers had become disconnected and thanked me as other diners wouldn't be affected. Not much of an apology, I think they deducted a few € from the bill. If had been more confident I would have asked for the cost of my veal to be deducted from the bill Less attention to serving alcohol to inebriated customers, look after other diners.

Our visit to The Farm Restaurant can only be described as perfect and exceptional. From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel totally welcome. We ordered the selection of Farm appetisers, which were truly delicious and so worth the €30 as you got a lovely portion of each item. We were also given a platter of gorgeous rye bread on the side (as traditional in Estonia). This bread is baked daily on the premises and it was so tasty. Our waitress explained that we should have it with butter and a sprinkle of salt. For the main, one of us ordered the duck, the other the venison, both cooked medium rare and again, it was presented beautifully and cooked to perfection. We shared a traditional dessert of Estonian bread soup. The restaurant is lovely and cosy but very smart at the same time. The colours (beige, white) are soothing as is the gentle lighting. If you are in Tallinn, I’d highly recommend this place.

Went there for a romantic dinner. Great atmosphere, excellent, attentive service, perfect food. The complementary bread is the best we’ve tasted in Estonia so far. Starter platter was exquisite, would definitely recommend it, maybe a bit messy to eat (sharing with a significant other is fine but maybe not for a business lunch) but the taste was great ! Mains were perfectly done (we had the duck and the lamb), quality matched the price. Katrina’s (sorry if we don’t remember the name correctly) service was professional, high-end and very pleasant. Had read complaints in previous reviews that 10% tip was automatically charged, but this is NOT THE CASE anymore. All in all a lovely experience, would visit again.

Nice interior, friendly service but...

We visited the place for dinner as a family. The interior is really beautiful and interesting with stuffed animals. Service was also very friendly. The disappointing thing was the fact that they lacked a few key ingredients from the menu. As I am allergic to fish (they have many fish dishes on the menu), the lack of veal that night made my selection a bit narrow. Also they were lacking some drinks we would have wanted to taste. Maybe there is a reason for this, I dont know. But as a bit pricy restaurant (compared to many other great places in Tallinn) this seemed weird. I felt the price-quality ratio was not that good during our meal.

The food at Farm was fantastic! The Raspberry rabbit liver mousse was outstanding and the duck is arguably one of the best I've ever had. Prices are very reasonable for what we ate... I wish I could eat there every day!

Once again, perfect!

This was maybe 10th visit here, but first one after Covid-19 and it was so great to see and taste, that they have kept their high standards. Every single time food and service has been perfect. They are serving Estonian food, with modern twist and use only best and fresh ingredients. My starter was Rabbit Liver Pate and then I continued with Game(Deer) meatballs and both were so tasty! Friendly and professional service and interior, with open kitchen is still interesting

Great food disastrous service

During our stay in Tallin we were looking for a cozy restaurant where to dine with friends and family. Food was really great, even thought we were waiting unapologetically long, but was worth it. Unfortunately service was one of the worst services I have experienced in fine dining. Waitress seemingly didn’t know what she was doing as well seemed to be quite arrogant. She was suggesting meals beast on price, when we asked about wine pairing she couldn’t say anything. After turned out that vine we choose was out of stock she told - “if you want another similar vine, this is at the same price pointing at the vine in list with the same price), but if you want the best vine then it’s this one (she pointed to the last and most expensive one). Another big fail was she was removing empty main curse dishes while some people of the group were still finishing main course, and made them feel uncomfortable. Latter on she didn’t clear our table before deserts, while having deserts our table still had butter, bread etc. Unfortunately service can ruin great restaurants.

Truly a gem

I had such an amazing experience at Farm. They were extremely welcoming, the waitress was very attentive and put in a lot of extra effort to anything special I requested. At the end of the meal she even suggested a dessert for me that was not on the menu but from their cafe and it was absolutely perfect. The kitchen uses the best of local ingredients combined creatively, all of the food was seriously delicious. We were so impressed with food and service that we went again for lunch!

Great to see this place open again

Pandemic time was so difficult to many restaurant, so it was so nice to see Farm open again. Been here so many times earlier, but last time was something like 2,5-3 years ago. Place looked the same, which was nice, because interior with open kitchen is stylish. Service was real friendly and professional and what was great, food was still real good, made from quality ingredients. Lots of local favourites with fine dining twist. Of course not the cheapest place, but considering their prime location in Old Town, high standards and ongoing inflation, 29€ for my Veal Fillet was acceptable. Great place for dinner with your spouse, friends or business associates

upscale restaurant with local cuisine with their own versions. we were there for a late lunch and part of a local Food tour. we were served several small courses such as herring and ice cream, rabbit pate, steak tartar and salmon. especially the rabbit pate was fantastic. the waither presented the food with excellent knowledge of the ingredients.

Cuando, Cuando … priceless.

"Cuando, Cuando?" Asked the piano singer Priceless is my reply. Stumbling upon this eatery late on a July evening, my wife and I had to implore the hostess for a table. It was worth the effort. The menu is a simple yet comprehensive compilation of local recipes with locally harvested produce. The paucity of vegetarian or vegetarian even pescatarian entrees was off putting to my wife but the wine was worth it. Ask Irinn about the Woodrow a unique and much appreciated offspring of the Baltic mainstay, the Apersol Spritz. Done

One of the best restaurants I have visited in Tallinn

One of the best restaurants I have visited in Tallinn. Atmosphere, service and of course delicious food. Stylish interior. Fast and friendly service. The waiter Alexander was very professional. Beautifully served and interestingly prepared dishes were accompanied by explanations from the waiter. Appetizers, salads, main dishes were very impressive both with excellent preparation and an unusual combination of different tastes.
