It's a small but very cozy little restaurant with a very attentive service. Our waitress was excellent. Food was great but a bit pricey. Had a nice dinner, overall very good experience.

We visited Salt for a Friday evening dinner. The menu was the most interesting one we experienced during our visit to Tallinn: oysters, frog legs, beef tataki, octopus... And everything was delicious! Also the wine pairings were good, and the services was very friendly. It...was all in all the best restaurant experience we had during our 3-day-visit. The weather outside was warm, so it was quite warm also inside the restaurant. But the restaurant was not crowded as many customers were eating on the terrace, so it was OK.More

I have such fond memories of this restaurant as the atmosphere and food has always been delicious. Unfortunately for the first time I experienced very bad customer service from the managerial level as our booking that had been done 11 days prior was cancelled 3...days before we were meant to enjoy our evening in this restaurant. Apparently no one “noticed” our booking even though it was confirmed originally. What was offered instead of our booking being at 8pm was to change it to 6pm which did not suit our schedule. After several emails left unanswered I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager Janek who also emailed me and his attitude was not very customer service-like as he said there was a booking for a big group and our booking is just for two so “it doesn’t work like that”. He was offering options for the evening before and the following day with bottle of wine/dessert on the house but again this didn’t suit our plans as we are only tourists in the city. I asked him to keep the booking for 6pm in case we can’t get a table elsewhere as for the most popular restaurants in Tallinn you have to make a booking (and that’s why we did book this so early on) and send an email afterwards to confirm this booking in writing. Never heard back and we never visited. I acknowledge that restaurants are a business and eventually the main point is to make money, however it is also a hospitality industry and a customer should be treated with respect no matter how much money they bring in to the business. Hope this would be acknowledged on the owner level as well. Instead we enjoyed a fabulous dinner in Mantel & Korsten where food was delicious and customer service was top-notch!More

Went with my family with kids. Food was average, everything was quite spicy. The service was rude, and the whole experience expensive. The location is tiny and was very warm and filled with fumes from the kitchen

Nice restaurant with good food and friendly service. Good selection of vegetable, fish and meat dishes. Cozy little restaurant and possibility to dine also in the street environment

Salt is a great place with homey atmosphere ( since i’ve been here + 20 times already ) and amazing food. Service is personal, refined and worth waiting for. Thank you Janek and team for a pleasant evening. Jonas, Triin, Heikko and Siret

Almost year ago one of my friends told me that Salt restoran is a place worth to visit. Today I can say: "Yes, she was right!" The main dish Octopus with Crispy Potatoes was really delicious & the dessert Pavlova with lemon cream was excellent....Very friendly service. Take your time and visit this nice, little restaurant!More

It is a most pleasant place. I happen to pop in every once in a while, and it means I have seen many things, also slipups, but in general it is such a cosy place with a lot of atmosphere, although it is not much...bigger than a broom cupboard. It is known for its seafood, but I would say it has the best Pavlova in Europe.More

Was there @friday evening with my date. Restaurant itself is in basement and it was quite crowded at that time. But service was super and food was delicious. Serverant was always pouring us wine.
