I had about 40 hours to spend in Tallinn -- the equivalent of about 5 meals or so. I did two of them in III Draakon. The soup was superb: better than my mama's soups (sorry mom); the pies excellent (I have tried 3: beef, elk, apple, elk); and mulled wine mulled just so. And the ladies serving the food!... More

Admittedly you cannot see what you are eating....but the candle-lit ambience was great. Elk soup was delicious as were the pasties. I really liked the quirky Mediaeval atmosphere and thought the prices were quite reasonable. Not a place for dinner probably but great for a snack. Thankfully no queues when we went but small inside. Only minus was the toilets... More

Having to queue for such a long time with -20 outside wasn't a good start, but the place itself is definitely worth a look. It resembles what had to be a pre-touristic inn, with grim atmosphere and not so mannered staff, but this is what the experience is about, we weren't looking for a posh place. The only real minus,... Frankly speaking, we expected a little bit more. This place is quite overrated...maybe because of its design and unusual service...but the food itself is just ok and nothing more. This is first of all a touristic attraction - and that's it

Elk soup is great! In this place climate is really amazing- you can feel like in middle ages. Polecam zupę z łosia w tej knajpie. Klimat jest świetny, czuć średniowiecze.

This place has ruined my New Year's eve because of the vomit, which was on my chair. It was not possible to see it because of the darkness in the bar. My coat was brand-new, it costed 300 euros and I was very upset to see that all the back of it was in vomit. What else can I say?... More

We went here over XMas, we had looked at a few restaurants on the square and left one other restaurant because of the terrible live music they were playing. We were meeting friends for drinks later and decided to pop in here. Very welcoming lady who explained everything. It's very dark inside and kind of reminds you of the Middle... More

What an original site!!! Without light you don't see what you are eating... but the beer and the food served in medieval recipients are really good, in particular the soup and the meat pastries. A very good experience!!

Cannot comment on the food. We entered, were spoken to very rudely, found a table because despite the horrible start, we were keen to try it out having read the good reviews on Trip Advisor. We could smell the toilet from our table, and everything was so dark and dingy that it was impossible to see the level of cleanliness... More
