Had a wonderful evening here the food and atmosphere was lovely. On arrival you open a heavy wooden door and then you have to climb down some very steep stone stairs be warned but once inside fabulous food and drinks

In the centre of the old town. A great bar/pub atmosphere. Very food and an extensive choice of beers. Excellent service.

We went to this bar as an invitation by some Estonian colleges, from the very first sight of this bad I was impressed. It has a very old European vibe to it. The fact that the bar is hidden downstairs was very pleasing to me...as well, I really enjoy bars that put in extra work to be unique and this was certainly one of them. The staff were extreamly polite and kind, served me and my friends drinks all night despite the horrendous state that we got in very early on. The huge selection of drinks available here is also a major selling point, being British I found it difficult to understand the menus but was very impressed with the wide variety.More

The only day it pelted down with rain in Tallinn we stumbled across Porgu, great to get out the rain, but also a good pub restaurant. You walk through a large arched doorway and then down a short set of stairs to a medieval barrel-vaulted...restaurant. We were quickly shown to a long table. The waitress produced a small menu and a big beer list. She recommended Tsakra and Populism beers, both turned out to be good choices. Beers were less than 5 Euros The starters were two bowls of a fish broth, laced with salmon and vegetables, both meals in themselves. To follow we had duck and grilled pork both with plentiful vegetables. The pork was particularly good. The pub/restaurant had a good atmosphere, most people eating, but several people just drinking. Good service.More

Porgu happily seated 7 of us without a reservation on a Tuesday night. We were glad they could fit us in as the food was excellent. We tried a variety of their meals between us, I had the chicken which tasted lovely. Wide variety of...drinks to choose from too. Anyone could have a fantastic meal here. Friendly service, comforting food, reasonably priced and great atmosphere. Recommend a visit when in Tallinn.More

Extensive local and International beer list. The food was extremely well prepared (the duck breast, in particular), and the decor/ambiance was pretty cool. It was full on a Wednesday night by 730pm, so recommend a reservation.

Thank you to the lovely lady at Porgu who served us tonight. We booked by popping in earlier on in the day, which I recommend doing as it was busy and they had kept a lovely table for us. If you are looking for a...cosy atmosphere and some brilliant beers this is most definitely the place for you. Service was great, food was beautifully cooked and gorgeous, and the selection of beer was unbelievable. All that and a very reasonable price. Recommend duck and pork, and the chocolate cake. We only had 1 night in Tallinn and did not regret our choice at all. Thank you !!!More

Beer list is amazing, including a lot of local beers from small breweries. Food is like elevated pub food. Humble ingredients, but better than in most fine dining restaurants. I had pork belly and I will go back for that!

Great food, amazing choice of beers. There were 11 of us and each and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The goats cheese salad, pork, salmon, chicken and duck were all very tasty and the garlic bread for starters was particularly good.

.. and good food, then you should consider a visit at Porgu. We were very lucky to get a table since we had not made any reservations. Make sure to do that, especially if you are more than two. We tried a couple of different...beers, my favorite was the Old Ale, but there are plenty to choose from. We had chicken for main, it tasted really good. Service was nice and helpful even though they were very busy. I can recommend this place.More
