Extremely good service and tasty food in a cosy and personal cabinet. Our group consisted of 12 persons, including a child and a person with vegan diet. All of us were very happy about the food (especially the starters with roe and the dessert with strawberries were spectacular). And all the wine freaks were very excited about the overwhelming wine... More

We loved our evening at Leib Resto! Our service was terrific, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was charming. Our server gave us good direction in our choice of wine and food. Everything about this restaurant was appealing and I highly recommend it when you're in Tallinn! You won't be disappointed.

I warmly recommend this restaurant especially if you can enjoy the meal outside on the extremely charming yard. The tartar was the best I've ever had and the sturgeon was also pretty tasty. My wife is a fan of creme brule and she said that her dessert was also the best version she has ever had. Her trout was perhaps... More

Possibly the best dinner I have hosted for my unit. Excellent service and atmosphere. Food and drinks complimented each other very well.

The place is very beautiful. A garden in the middle of the old centre. The food was fresh and the service pleasant. Although a little expensive

Little bit confusing welcoming, nut we were seated upstair terrace among other Finns as it turned to be. Next time I would prefer garden table. I had clear chanterelle soup as starter. Very nice light soup a little bit too much parsley in my taste. Smoked trout with new potatoes as main course was tasty. Portion was kind of small.... More

We were unable to get one of the limited tables inside and we got the last table outside in the garden setting on a cool summer night. So we made good use of the blankets provided. The bread was brought quickly and was certainly wonderful. If is fortunate we were able to fill up on this dark, delicious bread because... More

When in Tallinn, Leib is a must - locally-sourced, innovative and delicious food, reasonable prices, great location. Unusually, service was a bit slow yesterday, but the food made up for it! But reservations are always needed - I just send an e-mail and an answer arrives within 24h.

This was not good. It was very busy, and all the waiters was running like crazy. The food was excelent, but the service was terrible. Our waiter made several mistakes with our order, and but the worst part was that she was rude! Very rude. We asked about what kind of potatoes they had, and she told us to go... More

Dear Rune, Please accept my sincere apologies. We do work hard on training our summer staff but yesterday we failed hard with your table and there is no excuse. I can only apologise and say yesterdays event is not how we serve our guests and we have seriously addressed all errors in our staff meeting. With kind regards, Kristjan Peäske... More

Description
Leib is run by two professional foodies - a chef and a sommelier. Having our own restaurant is a dream come true for both of us. Leib means black bread in Estonian and we have chosen it to be our name for a reason! Good old local black bread - fresh, warm, simple, and honest - it's what we, Estonians, grow up with and what we dream about when away. It's what we are, really. Good bread is always made with soul. We are passionate about sharing goodies from our homeland. We work with local farmers and fishermen to create delicious yet simple dishes. Since most of our ingredients are local, the menu is always seasonal. Less is more- therefore our menu is compact and constantly changing. Hand-made bread, coupled with foods made from natural, local ingredients is a true gastronomic delight. Leib - soulful casual dining!
