The restaurant is located in a garden in the old town with turrets and statues and flowers populating it, making it unique for probably all places in the old town. The food is expensive for Tallinn but the flavors absolutely make it worth it. The meats are fantastic, the homemade bread spectacular and the service was extremely amiable despite the... More

Enjoyed my meal from start to finish here. The staff provided an excellent recommendation for wine. All courses were absolutely delicious. Probably best to make a reservation as it is relatively small. Well worth the effort.

Leib was recommended to me by an employee at a nearby hostel. I had the sturgeon, a Estonian Saison, and of course the ubiquitous black bread. Everything was quite good. This was the first decent service (IMO) I'd had after several days in Berlin and it was nice to have a professional, attentive server. I couldn't help overhear another server... More

Very lovely and well decorated restaurant in the center of old town Tallinn. We had lunch in the cosy garden and enjoyed every minute! The choice is limited but everything is made with fresh local ingredients. Service is absolutely perfect with complete information about the food and the own brewed beers. Worthwile a visit!

I liked the area and surroundings a lot! Feel like at home. Menu is very compact. i would prefer to have more variety. I took beef fillet, tasted great, dessert with goat cheese was a bit strange, however i like goat cheese usually.

I'd highly recommend this restaurant. Even the heavy rain didn't spoil the experience. The staff were really helpful and friendly and again, the food was delicious.

Great service, great good, great drinks and beer. I ordered smoked trout and the gf sturgeon fillet. Trout was good and the sturgeon great. Nicely paired with local beers. In fact, much was localy produced. Wirth a visit!

Leib is run by two professional foodies - a chef and a sommelier. Having our own restaurant is a dream come true for both of us. Leib means black bread in Estonian and we have chosen it to be our name for a reason! Good old local black bread - fresh, warm, simple, and honest - it's what we, Estonians, grow up with and what we dream about when away. It's what we are, really. Good bread is always made with soul. We are passionate about sharing goodies from our homeland. We work with local farmers and fishermen to create delicious yet simple dishes. Since most of our ingredients are local, the menu is always seasonal. Less is more- therefore our menu is compact and constantly changing. Hand-made bread, coupled with foods made from natural, local ingredients is a true gastronomic delight. Leib - soulful casual dining!
