Great meal here, lovely atmosphere, good food, good service, and best of all really good value! Food here is seasonal so cant comment on menu. Defo book before you turn up. Went on a sunday night and it was packed. I heart this place!

Leib Resto deserves all the accolades it receives! They helped me provide a three course meal with wine for 26 at EUR 50 per person (40 for veggies). We had the choice of beef, sturgeon or chantarelles as a main. I sampled the beef and fish and both were amazing. My veggie friends assure me the mushrooms were also great.... More

Flawless three course meal. As most good restaurants in Tallinn, this one also focuses on high-quality ingredients with recipes that that are simple enough in terms of give enough attention to the good ingredients. However, all the meals have a twist that makes them interesting. My Tallinn favorite at the moment!

Wonderful restaurant in the old town but far (10-15 min walk) from the crowds of market square. The garden seating looked very nice but it was a bit chilly and the large upstairs dining room was filled and lively. We were in a smaller downstairs dining room which was fine but we usually prefer the more lively rooms. Both the... More

A beautiful ambiance with lovely and helpful waitresses. The garden is very green and I recommend everyone to sit outside, if the weather lets you. The restaurant supplies its goods from their own farm, so everything tastes fresh and natural. The quail I ordered was delicious, but quiet small. The starter, whitefish roe with patatoes was really delicious. The beef... More

The founders have created a beautiful retreat in restaurant area just off the road in an elevated garden within the old city walls. There is a huge wine list and the food and decor feels like a labour of love from the owners - local food, homely atmosphere, elegant crockery and local beer. Knowledgeable staff and well priced for the... More

We wish we could have been here during the day and sat on the patio. It was beautiful at night but too cold to sit outside. We loved the ambience and the local food from Estonia.

Description
Leib is run by two professional foodies - a chef and a sommelier. Having our own restaurant is a dream come true for both of us. Leib means black bread in Estonian and we have chosen it to be our name for a reason! Good old local black bread - fresh, warm, simple, and honest - it's what we, Estonians, grow up with and what we dream about when away. It's what we are, really. Good bread is always made with soul. We are passionate about sharing goodies from our homeland. We work with local farmers and fishermen to create delicious yet simple dishes. Since most of our ingredients are local, the menu is always seasonal. Less is more- therefore our menu is compact and constantly changing. Hand-made bread, coupled with foods made from natural, local ingredients is a true gastronomic delight. Leib - soulful casual dining!
