Location and contact

SchnitzelHaus offers diners a decent bellyful at an affordable price in a cosy atmosphere that is a favourite among young and old and locals and tourists alike. It is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, hold a wedding reception, put on a company event or enjoy a stag night. Those with a thirst won't go dry, either, with our bar catering for every taste, including for genuine German beer. Set in what was once the armoury of the historical Kiek in de Kok guard tower, SchnitzelHaus offers a menu of German-style dishes made to true Bavarian recipes - and by true Bavarian chefs. The restaurant can cater for up to 70 people.

We came here for schnitzel supper and were surprised as we were the first guests in the restaurant. We chose place near the fireplace. It was very good and warm after long cold walking. Waiter-barman was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered 1 onion soup,...More

With true germanic authenticity the schnitzels were outstanding. The monster schnitzel which is carried out by 2 people on what looks like a silver stretcher was stupendous. The eatery is concealed and is by no means obvious to the passer by, however upon its discovery...More

Located on one corner of Old Town, kind of a inner courtyard, so not that easy to find first. Few steps down from street level and you end up in this authentic Bavarian Restaurant, where is also a fire place. Service was friendly, but little...More

Loved this below ground historic restaurant. The walls and ceiling are part of Tallinn old fortification & gives it a great atmosphere. The waitress was absolutely lovely. The schnitzels are huge servings and delicious! If you’re looking for a German treat, make sure you head...More

After travelling around Germany, this was perhaps the best. Schnitzel and Goulash soup we tried. Located underground in a cave, the quality of food was 1st class as was the service. This restaurant is definitely not fine dining but for a fast and very good...More

Heard about the giant pork schnitzel in Tallinn's Old Town. Spent almost half an hour to find the place so I was truly hungry by the time I got there. Got the Monsterschnitzel for 26€, it came after a while on a big rectangular metal...More

We stumbled across this place by accident. It's tucked away, up an alley in a far corner and underground! Very good schnitzel, plenty of choice. Huge portions. Quick service. Good price. What's not to like.
