Were I the cook at this place, I'd lead a revolution against the front-of-house staff. Because the food here is really good, but the service just downright sucks. As a guest, you are received with a feeling of total indifference, and served with all the...joie de vivre of a robot. The cook needs to take control, and hire a quality maitre d' to run the place. The whole milieu of the place needs reworked. Shame about everything but the food.More

We were here twice this month and the first time they did an ID discount and when we asked the second time for this they started lying about not be able to print the receipt the second time. While We have been working in restaurants...and know how it works. Also the plates were at our table about 20 minutes after we had finished our meal. They lie to the clients, not for visiting!More

Great food such as rabbit, steak, duck and goat cheese. The restaurant is in the heart of old town and it is not expensive. The only minus that bothered us were pretty slow service.

I came 3 times to this cafe/restaurant during my 2 days in Tallinn. The guy that runs the place is friendly, the music is chill and the vibe is relaxing.Perfect for a stop before exploring again,I loved it.Much more welcoming than other town-square cafes I thought....I would bring my friends family lover here for sure.Go Rae!More

Ate at Rae in the beginning of September. Other places were fully booked so we choose Rae for the late Sunday lunch. Thanks to warm weather we were able to eat outside and watch tourists walking around Raekoja Plats. There’s heaters outside so you can...eat out even when weather gets colder. We ate goat cheese salad and had sweet potato fries a side. There was enough to eat, and salad tasted okay. Nothing special, but not bad. 3 adults and one teenager cost about 60e. 3 times salad, 2 portions of fries and cola to drink. I have eaten better and cheaper in Tallinn city centre but this time this was the place we could get in without reservation. Note to self, book table also for Sunday lunch. Restaurants in City centre are very popular all around the year during weekends.More

This soup was incredible! A winner! Also had the Ceasar salad with king prawns which was very good. My friend liked her goat cheese salad with sea bucktorn sauce. Nice place to enjoy the view.

Four of us came to RAE for dinner and all of us ordered steak with a truffle sauce (the other steak option being with a pepper sauce). It was obvious that we were all served steak with an overpoweringly peppery sauce, but as we had...only just arrived in Tallinn after a very long journey, we couldn't be bothered sending them back and waiting for the correct meals to be served. The steaks themselves were ok (but no better than ok), prices high. There are much better places to eat in Tallinn Old Town.More
