Apparently Uzbek style food, had a soup (Lagman), pilaf and some meat filled pies which name I cannot remember. All were good tasting, nothing very special but overall good food. Even the children tasted every dish and we left with our tummies filled.
Small restaurant, recommended if you feel hungry at Balti Jaam.

Perfect place for all kind of purposes. Whether you are an office worker, man with a big family or just a hungry tourist, desiring to find something that is a real bargain (for its price and food quality). Highly recommend to visit once and constantly come back. Fell in love with Uzbek cusine!

Ordered the Pilaf (7.50 Euro), Manto (7 euro), Lamb pancake (4 euro) and potato (2.5 euro). Amazing warm hearty food! It feels like a warm bear hug on the inside during winter. The pilaf is a must try. The food is fresh and handmade daily. It inspires me to visit Uzbekistan someday.

I don't know what I was expecting when I read a blog about this place but it was a cosy and unusual gourmet adventure.
My wife and shared the following: A minced Lamb Ceburek and a Plate of Uzbek Pilaff.
Both were exceedingly tasty. Drinks on offer were confined to Tea (green or black) and water. A welcome warm dining cabin setting inside the main Balti Jaama turg (market hall) on a freezing February day was a relief.
Well worth a diversion to search out plus the bonus of being extremely good value.

Never had Uzbek cuisine before and Samsa has set the bar very high for any restaurants I might go to in the future. While elements of the flavour palate were familiar, they combined in ways I'd not experienced before and everything we had was delicious. I really hope to find Uzbek food in London now!

This is a great little place tucked away in the market - the staff are friendly and speak good English. A range of savoury and sweet pastries are in offer together with soups and rice dishes. Coffee also available.

Amazing samsa - both savoury and sweet pies were delicious. Samsas were freshly baked and served in a cafe inside the market. There is a small food court with tables there, pretty cozy. And there is a Samsa restaurant in outdoor part of the market where they cook main dishes, with table service.

Interesting baked potato and o ion pie that was deep fried. Tasty but not too greasy.
Chicken and pasta type soup was salty but something different. The chicken was off the bone and the soup home made with a stock.

So first thing you need to know is that there are two locations within the market - one outside the food hall, which is the small restaurant. we did not go there. We went to the stand inside the food hall. Tried various samsas - potato and mushroom, spinach and feta, cherry, apple and cinnamon. All were great. Cheap (3 EUR each). Highly recommend. would go there again whenever next in Tallinn. Grab and go food.

The Uzbek Lagman was a perfect meal for freezing day. Cosy small place to eat and leave. The order is taken from the kitchen on the right side of seating area.
The samsa looked amazingly good and although was planning to eat but was not so hungry stayed only with the noodles. Recommend

Perfect late breakfast/brunch food. I had the Tseburek with beef (and a beer) - delicious, I could have eaten two...but we had more beers to find. Do go.
It's tucked away in the market, but you cannot miss the HUGE rice steamer. Next time I will try the Uzbek Pilaff.

A small place in very Asian (Uzbek) style. Very moderate prices and tasty food. There is a kitchen and a restaurant sides. It is very warm and cozy in the restaurant part of the building. I ate pilaf and was very satisfied.

Wonderful Uzbek restaurant with delicious homemade chebureks with a side of adjika and sour cream.
I’ve tried all the varieties on offer and they never disappoint. I especially recommend the mashed potato and onion. The most perfect treat on a cold winter’s day.
Great prices as well!

Since months, I am looking for an Uzbek restaurant.
We were passing Tallinn but staying 2 days in there. I found this place randomly when we were walking on the cover market.
The food is incredible, I really recommend this place for you guys if you want to travel!

For us, first time enjoying food from Uzbekistan and we left with a happy heart and full stomachs. Returned the next day to try two new dishes. Everything tasted amazing and in its simplicity, genuine soulfood. Inside Balti Jama Turg that is also well worth strolling around for a few hours.
