About

Anno is a small and cozy family-run wine restaurant with only 22 seats. We offer mainly flavors inspired by old Europe, the raw materials of which come largely from our local fields and forests and spiced with the temperament of our chef de cuisine Anna Kaasik. Anno restaurant's extensive wine list is carefully selected by our sommelier Erno Kaasik. Yours Anna & Erno. Some details that the time spent on site would be the most enjoyable: - If possible, please book in advance by e-mail. The same day can also be booked by phone. - When booking, we expect each guest to enjoy an average 3-course menu with drinks. - Please report allergies as early as possible. The choice of lactose-free food is very limited. - Vegetarian can find many choices from our menu but there is not much to offer for vegan. - Well-behaved pets that do not disturb other visitors are welcome.

Almost Michelin class food, but service was surpsingly unfriendly

This stylish old building stands alone near Tallink's D-Terminal area and not so far away from Rotermann towards Pirita. Cozy interior, open kitchen and owner's dog greeting you on front door. Food was beautifully displayed and real tasty and also reasonably priced, considering their high standards. No wonder they have won Awards. But unfortunately service was almost rude first and didn't get much better later. When we came in and asked can we have something to eat without reservation, there were no hellos or welcomes, only "OK, but be quick". That was strange, because there weren't that many customers and our table didn't have any reserved sign or anything. When we ate and paid and then left, no thank yous/see yous/have a good days or anything

Do Not Miss This Restaurant in Tallinn

We were so very fortunate to be able to get a last minute table after a cancellation. I am thrilled we did. Though I felt underdressed in a blouse and jeans, the service staff, including a sommelier, were most attentive. The food was absolutely wonderful. I am having some oral surgery issues requiring me to carefully choose my meals. The scallops starter with orange and almond cream was so delicious and the presentation flawless. This was followed by my white fish main with black rice and paired with a tamarind sauce that completed the dish. Perfectly cooked and flaky (not dry) fish. And then the dessert! A pavlova that was so beautiful I hesitated to eat it. The pictures that follow will show the outstanding presentation. Make reservations and enjoy this wonderful restaurant.

Best Boutique restoran in Tallinn

The best food flavors in Tallinn. A very good wine selection directly from the best wine regions discovered by the owner of the restaurant (Sommeljee) himself. If you want to have a taste experience in Tallinn, then a definite strong recommendation. The owners themselves are present, the customers receive a warm welcome, such a welcome is not found in many restaurants in Tallinn. It is rather a boutique restaurant with a very stylish atmosphere (awesome paintings on the walls, romantic design). A restaurant with love and a warm heart.

Great food but service was appalling

I visited the restaurant Anno on the 23rd of December. There was 9 of us and it was our pre Christmas celebration. The food was excellent. Very tasty and very well presented. There was vide range of options to choose from. My compliments to the chef for delivering an excellent food. However, the service was appalling. I don’t think I’ve ever experience anything so rude before. The waitress and the sommelier were plainly rude. The way they spoke to us and questioned all our drink choices was shocking. I understand we facing uncertain time with all the restrictions especially in hospitality. My heart goes out for these people because it must be incredibly difficult times but to treat your costumer the way they did is no excuse. It’s not the cheapest place either so I’d expected to be treated way better. You do not tell your costumer when they choose a wine maybe they want something else. You don’t tell your costumer that if they want a glass of champagne that it’s terrible burden for them to open a bottle for you because next day they are closed. If you don’t want to open the bottle don’t sell it by glass. You don’t roll openly your eyes on your customers if they choose drinks that might not be in top of your list. I am a paying costumer and I expect to be treated like one. The most shocking part is that they didn’t even hide it.

Nice place but very drunk customers

Extremely uncomfortable situation. There was a very drunk and loud party next to us, big guys shouting obscenities (f word and n word), breaking glasses and even threatening us for complaining. It was just not possible to enjoy the dinner and we were forced to leave in the middle of the main course. The owner, instead of managing the party of which some were his friends, accused us for being too sensitive and gave us the bill for the full tasting menu. Unbelievable but maybe this is still Estonia?

We are sorry again for Your inconvenience. I think we did everything to make You feel as good as possible. We gave You another table, we convinced other client to behave and hi actually did calmed town. There was not any party, just one person from the table was drunk, all others polite. After all we are very disappointed of your rating. Maybe you dont like us personally or you don't like atmosphere but what was the problem with food that you rated it so low? Or what was the problem with value? Bottle of champagne you ordered cost probably the same or less then in the wine shop. We think that all this is not good enough reason to leave the restaurant without paying the bill for what you ordered. All the best, Anna&Erno

Service needs an upgrade

As they say, you remember the beginning, but you especially remember the end. And it didn't end well for me. Halfway through my pavlova, I found a (dog?) hair in my dessert. When I discreetly pointed this out, my dessert was taken away and I was offered a new one (which I wasn't in the mood for at the time) or a glass of digestive (which I wasn't in the mood for either). We didn't make a fuss, but we were very surprised when the dessert shamelessly found its way onto the bill. That's not how restaurants in this league handle situations like this. Or rather, the way the restaurants handle these situations shows what league they belong in. But we are not the type to argue, so we just paid the bill and left.

The best food of my whole trip!

This restaurant deserves an outstanding ovation. It is truly a culinary experience from the moment you sit on that table. There is no way that you leave this place without an smile in your face. We were four and ordered almost every item of the Menu. Everything was spectacular. The owner is great host. If you are in Tallinn this one has to be your No 1 pick

Cozy and homey family place with great gourmet food and a nice wine cellar. All dishes are thought thru and make for a great experience. Really recommend to try the tasting menu on you first visit.

Super nice experience again. It is our favorite restoran and it was pleasure to introduce it to our friends from Hong Kong 🇭🇰. They have been so amazed and loved every bite. Sommeljee Erno's choosed vines for the food have been excellent. Anna and Erno , you are just great! Thank you! Our little dog Coco was enyoing great athmosphere and your hospitality too.

We had a team event there. Really nice place, tasty food, owners are friendly as well. Good prices. Really enjoyed the evening, suggest you to go there. I will definatelly go there again if will search for a place for dinner.

Absolutely fabulous food, nice athmosphere and friendly staff We tried the tasting menu and especially the vegetarian and fish options where outside this world Wine and Champagne served was really nice too

I have discovered this place occassionally...and was excited from interrior and selected wine course from a somelie together with a food selection. I was pleased by excited food and wine presentation an high quality of taste.
