Wow just wow!

I’m not really a Thai food person, maybe I’ve had too much bad Thai food but my friend really wanted to go and so in we went. From the start to the finish it was a really exceptional experience. The restaurant is well decorated and Thai music tastefully providing a nice background to the evening. It’s an open kitchen staffed by Thai cooks who waved at us as we arrived always a good sign. I played it safe with chicken satay and a green curry. The satay was the best I’ve ever had, clearly cooked over coals for a perfect char, highly recommended starter!! The green curry was excellent and you could choose your own spice level from the friendly multi lingual staff. My friend ordered a red beef curry which was even better than mine! Overall a really terrific restaurant which has renewed my faith in Thai restaurants and honestly good restaurant food in general!

Just super food and great service

During all the Corona time I was missing really good Thai food. Finally NOKNOK is opened again and the dream came true again! Food is just so delicious - tasteful and spicy, just the way I like it! Service is really personal and polite and all extra wishes - more spicy, less spicy, extra sauce etc. - everything was possible. Waitresses are smiling and explained everything about menu and new dishes. Thank You so much for a really nice dinner!!!

Nice place. Very taste food. They have menu for vegans. Going with large group, you can pre-order group menu (also for vegans). I was only vegan in our group, so I couldn't order group taste menu. My no-vegan friends ordered taste menu (different plates), and they liked it. I ordered from vegan menu and also food was good. Not so good place for romantic dinner but going with friends, the place is berfect. They have lunch special offers also. Prices are avarage. Vine list is large. Perfect place, because there is something for every taste.

Probably one of the best Asians in Tallinn

Probably one of the best restaurants in Tallinn, but downgraded because the price/value does not weigh up. Nok Nok has lots of authentic recipes, the lemongrass chicken was sublime, the fish cakes... Papaya salad had a strange smoked fish sauce flavour which was unpleasant though. We also took a cooking class, which was a little primitive (pre cut ingredients to mix in a soup, for 30eu? In groups, not even solo).

A thai food level-up

The food blew our minds. Though the soup I ate was made of maybe 10 different vegetables (which was a bit too much I think), the flavours were so deep, fancy and complex that it has been years that I have tasted such in any thai restaurant. This is definately a thai food level-up. I would have given five stars but the customer service dropped one.

Beware of too much salt, but very good thai food

Tom Yum soup had too much salt and too much viniger. Also, tofu wok had too much salt as well. However, green curry chicken, wok with prawns and tofu was amazing

Beware the lady's meanness

Inappropriate behaviour on the part of the lady who served us, perhaps owner of the place. We have the strong feeling that she, on purpose, brought to each of us a different dish than ordered, relying on the fact that they were similar, and that, the menu cards being taken, we were thus not motivated to check the correctness of the dish ordered. The main issue with this meanness was that the dish we were given was much more spicy than the one we actually ordered, which was noxious to our health. This was done only to charge 12 EUR more. Plus, we ordered a bottle of water, which she served, adding however refrigerated tap water, somehow showing that we simply could have asked for tap water. And this was done to charge 5 EUR more. Upon the whole, the food was good, but beware the lady's littleness of character.

Special Thai Restaurant

It is not so easy to find high class asian restaurant in Tallinn Old Town. This was a find. Very authentic, stylish, but casual. Rich thai flavours, spicy also, but not so spicy ad in Thailand. Food was excellent and colourful. The restaurant is also included into the White Guide, the list of the best restaurants in the nordic countries.

Great spot within a peaceful and enjoyable walking distance from the port with lots of shopping along the way. The interior is comfortable, with a refined decor and several different areas for seating. The service is impressively attentive but not smothering or flashy. The cocktail menu is full of wonderfully-balanced and creative options. They take time to prepare but it is worth the wait. The portions are sized for two and both the tuna and tum yum were ample and featured the perfect amount of heat. The shrimp in the soup were the perfect texture and the tuna was in expertly even cuts. The eggplant entree was also seasoned perfectly and had the ideal amount of heat for us but it was a little more mushy than I had hoped. Still it retained a refined, subtle eggplant flavor that I think is hard to achieve. All of this was at an exceptional price, especially given the quantity and very high-quality. I wish we could have tried more.

As a half Thai person I think I can safely comment with good authority on Thai food. Nok Nok was really poor. None if the chefs were Thai as I had hoped to chat to them. Before commenting on the food the service was poor. Only 3-4 tables were in use but each time we wanted anything (more drinks etc) we had to go and find the waitress Food Prawn Cakes 1/10 . No flavour, just like cardboard Chicken satay - 1/10no flavour or seasoning, very dry. Peanut sauce lacked Tuna Tartare - 5/10 decent size portion and fairly decent flavour. Not a typical Thai flavour though Papaya salad 2/10 - no flavour, lacked punch & frangrance Green curry - 4/10 - lacked fragrance or the rich flavour that we all expect from this staple Thai dish Pad Krapow - 2/10 - Bland. Just tasted of fried pork and no flavour Fried fish - 5/10 - Decent size and ok flavour. Nothing special. None of the food was spicy or had the Thai fragrance like it should. The meal for 4 with 2 beers and 1 bottle of wine came to circa €300. Avoid this place if you know your Thai food

I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant. There are real Thai people in the kitchen -- not Estonians making an enthusiastic but bad attempt at the cuisine. Well done. I'll be back again and again. I may just move in.

We love thai food and was looking forward to this one, just to be majorly dissapointed. We ordered shrimp cakes for starter and a chicken green curry and beef woked with paprika -after the recommendation or our waitress. Shrimpcakes was tasteless deep friend sponges and the curry really boring, but the Worse was the beef, bad quality meat that was difficult to chew. We complained to pur waitress and she took a bite of the meat and did not say anything. We are never coming back to this place!

Excellent Thai

Lovely, fresh and authentic Thai food. We had the pad thai and cashew prawns, and both were very tasty. The food, as well as the cocktails, were well-composed and high quality. We were expertly served by friendly and knowledgeable staff on a quiet outside terrace. This is our second time here, and we will definitely come back next time we are in Tallinn. Thanks!

Best Thai food ever

We arrived in Tallinn, and we were looking forward to local Estonian food. However, after a day of travelling, no one was eager to walk far, so we decided to eat at Nok Nok, which proved to be the best decision ever. The quality of the food was simply outstanding and the service first class. Ingrid & Elsa are excellent wait staff. As an anniversary dinner, we could not have asked for anything better. We liked the first meal so much we went the following night after looking around and realising that the restaurant cost was lower / similar to the rest of the restaurants near by. Value for money and the best Thai food we have ever had

High expectation but disappointment

Had a family supper and high expectations after reading reviews and what we had heard. The place was guite ordinary. Service was good and portions guite big but the food was guite tasteless and chicken was too dry. Also salads had lost it’s taste. We had starters and main course. Only the soup which my daughter had was joyfull. Prices compared to the quality were little bit too high. Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food.
