After a days’ walking, we 8 family members preferred eating at the hotel Swissotel where we were staying. The starter Nordic fish platter was excellent. The Scandinavia fish soup was very good too. Caesar salad was good too.
In the main course, the beef steak was good. But in the signature dish, the veal was surprisingly not up to my satisfaction. The texture was a bit tough. The breaded fish was so-so.

The food was fine. Service was adequate. The lighting is very harsh, lending a cold cafeteria atmosphere to the room. Not very pleasant at night. You don't want to linger.

We were disappointed in the Christmas buffet. The wine was spoiled and over fermented. The food was not prepared well. The latkes were very chewy and inedible. The jasmine rice was extremely dry. The main dishes were not great. Even the desserts were bad. The ambiance was not festive. There were no centerpieces on the tables. Music was a bland, quiet radio. The service was awful. It appeared that only the tables that bought an expensive bottle of champagne got any attention. At my table, dishes were very sporadically cleared. I was not offered a refill of wine. I had to work to flag someone down. The only redemption and reason for 2 stars was the lively visit from Santa Claus.

Purely based on breakfast. Staff not particularly friendly. Breakfast variety/offering was ok but nothing more than that and you could probably get something better in the Stockmann department store next to this hotel.

Just finished my two course meal which started off with plans for dessert.
After my really excellent Scandinavian Fish soup which was subtle but tasty and very generously served and my 2 star Michelin portion of grilled salmon (you can't be in Estonia and not order fish) I just can't move let alone eat dessert.
Some I'm now trying to finish my wine which was also served for two .
The carbon salt (black salt) on the butter was another highlight worth mentioning.
GREAT MEAL!!!

There are not too many places you can eat at 17.00 (the reason I dropped in). The menu is short but enough to get a good starter and main course. The wine offered was also good. Not cheap but also not overpriced.

Do not expect anything outstanding. Your average (neither good nor bad) breakfast experience one anticipates in a hotel of certain class.
You’ll get a decent choice of cold and hot dishes served in a relatively pleasant dining room.
Lots of very young people serving and cleaning tables could be a reason for an impression of “disorganization”. Easily fixed with some training and supervision

Modern restaurant on 8th Floor of the Swissotel. View on the city not impressive. Food good, I liked the quail. Duck with rashberry sauce was a bit disappointing because of tasteless sauce. Staff very friendly. The service the courses very quick After eachother.
