Nice atmosphere

Booked a table to this place for a birthday celebrations. Took a 4-course dinner which was more than enough. Dishes were beautifully displayed, but I would say that the appetizers were slightly better than the main courses. Desserts list was rather small. The restaurant itself is in a very beautifully renovated house, giving off art deco vibes and prestige; service was pleasant. For the ones coming with car, be aware of that there are not many parking spaces. Overall its a good place with good food, but nothing too special if you are looking for a first class experience. However looks like a perfect place for a midday brunch.

Last dinner of 2019

Mon Repos is kind a hidden treasure. Located in Kadriorg bit away from city center near the Kadriorg park. And I say it is worth to find it and visit! We had a table in the first floor and as it was December 31 restaurant was crowded and it was great atmosphere. The staff was very professional and we felt very welcomed. The waiter explained the menu, and made good wine recommendations. The food was delicious and portions with the right size. Thank you, Mon Repos for the last dinner of 2019, it was memorable in positive way!

Lovely setting and service, but main course preparation disappointed

Mon Repos has a lovely setting in a beautiful old wooden villa, gorgeous outdoor patio with wonderful flowers and really nice interior. Also the service was impeccable. We had a late family lunch in the garden. The food was a mixed experience. All our starters (bouillabaisse, blinis, beef carpaccio, tomato&burrata salad) were fantastic. Unfortunately the main courses were not equally well prepared. The entrecote (ordered medium) was rare, the burger patty was also rare and the duck fillet was cold. The desserts were nice again. Perhaps a bad day at the kitchen?

Went here for Valentines day, not worth it

We had table on the second floor on the "Chef's floor" with Tasting menu. The food was good just combination through totally off, as we had first 3 entries with fish and once we were full they served as quail wrapped in bacon... that was overkill. I would not say that the place was romantic as we were seating like inches away from other couple and sometimes we had to whisper (( We were lucky enough as the table for other side did not came ... eventually as seats became available some even had to request to be reseated to have more privacy. I wish there was at least background music... Overprices as well for such poor confront. Ahh.. it would help to have the menus in other language as well besides Estonian. Nevertheless the server was good and helpful.

What was this ??

This was an unexpected awful experience . We where really looking forward to this night and made the reservation online, and there was no information that we had to book chef’s menu in advance. So, we did not get the menu we were looking forward to. The cheese plate as a starter was the cheapest brie and some soggy cured ham.. The lamb was tasteless, potato was dry, sauce was whey to salty. The artic chr did not taste as fish and the risotto only tasted like salt. I did not think that this low standard of food was a criterion for a Michelin restaurant. We where 4 ppl and the poor waitress had another table of 12 pll by herself. She really did a good job. We waited 1.5 hours to get our main dish tho. I will NOT recommend this place to anyone… Rather the opposite I am a huge food lover, and this was our main experience of the trip to Tallinn.

Estonian catastrophy as usual.

We booked a table for lunch outside. When we arrived , we were given a table without any shadow and next to the loudspeaker. We asked to change and despite our reservation, we were told nothing was available. When we left for Noa (where we spent 450 euro , we are french, not local), we realized that some table were free on the terrasse. Don't go there if you want to be treated properly. This place just has a french name but is a plain estonian sh*h#€le with no service.

Mothers with babies are not welcome

Not baby friendly. I went to the restaurant with a group of friends and my 3 month old baby. Since entering, it was clear that my baby and I were not welcome. We were told to leave a 3 month old's pram outside in the hallway "after all" although the restaurant was nearly empty and we had asked for a table that had space for a pram next to it. The pram disturbed the waitresses. As I was breastfeeding my baby, I felt like we were about to be sent out. Both waitresses gave me disapproving looks and made me feel uncomfortable. There are no baby changing facilities. Both waitresses were Russian speakers, seemed to struggle to understand us several times, and forgot a few items from our order. Food waiting times were very long.

Wonderful ambience, service and food

Fantastic variety of foods, from traditional recipies from the 15th to the 20th century and also modern specialities. We concentrated on the small plates and entrees. Service very nice and friendly, not at all typical Estonian. Wonderful okd wooden house but quite modern furniture. Reasonably priced for the high quality.

Hidden gem just outside the city

Amazing venue with a beautiful garden. We shared a few starters and they were all great. Large portions as well. Customer service was also very good compared to other places we visited. Will visit again and recommend to others!

Excellent quality food, good wine list, professional and friendly service. This restaurant really lives up to it's name, lovely garden and stylish indoors in an old villa near Kadriorg palace. A must visit restaurant on Tallinn

Worth to visit for a tasty food and good emotions

We had a lunch there at Aug.22, 2020. Till that we have had some excellent dinners there so it was our 1st lunch and the 1st time having a table at their garden-area. Everything was what you would like to have from a good restaurant - excellent food, good service, enjoyable atmosphere. This time there was no need for a reservation. Also there were several free parking places.

I like this place, very good atmosphere, fully renovated wood house with own sharm. Menu is long enough to find good option. Waiting time was ok. Location: close to Kadriorg, walking distance.

Horrible birthday dinner.

Starter was Ok but main course just horrible ( octobus). Nice environment. Service needs lot of improvement. All in all it is difficult to recommend this place for dinner. Maybe a glass of wine and something from the starter list.

Nice atmosphere

It is really nice to sit behind the restaurant on the park side on a sunny evening. Starter set for two was amazing. Main course was pretty good also but nothing overwhelming. Prices are expensive of course. Service was very friendly.

Not worth Michellin suggestion

Very disapointing evperience. We sat outside. The tables were unclean. Waiter forgot almost everything. She was a master in ignoring. It is not even close to Michelin suggestion.
