I have been here twice in the last month and it has on both occasions been a fantastic experience. Not only was it a pleasant surprise to learn that the food is much better than one would expect from a hotel restaurant, it is truly excellent with a confidentially executed mixture of the best of international classical cooking and local Estonian traditions. In my case it on both occasions started with some lovely home baked and stylishly served rye bread continued with true delicacies like whitefish (“siig”) tartar, ukha (or “uhhaa”, a classic Russian fish soup, but Estonian-style here with a strong broth and an appetising selection of local freshwater fish) and a magnificent main course of quail with red wine sauce. The wine by the glass selection is also very reasonable and in the same time rather diverse. The atmosphere was both calm and dignified at dinner. A special distinction goes to Alina, my waitress on both occasions. She provided friendly and outstanding service and could always give me helpful and accurate advice on anything from best side dish, even when not on the menu, to a good drink. Such service alone is a memorable and very important part of a good experience at a restaurant of this level. I was in the end extremely satisfied both times and would definitely visit again when in Tallinn. Mekk is also a good reason to stay at the Radisson Collection Hotel and is to my mind an example of the best in local higher end cuisine and hospitality.

My family and I went off the ship for breakfast, which started at 7:00. The restaurant hall was nice and modern and the atmosphere was relaxed. The buffet table had a really comprehensive selection of cold and warm dishes. In addition to this, you could order dishes from the menu to the table. Sparkling wine was also available, which you could refill yourself. The price was €28 for an adult, of which the Radisson card received a 10% discount. The price-quality ratio was good.

Hotel restaurant is not a first choice usually,but knowing chef and his passion took 7 of old friends to Radisson Collection hotel restaurant Mekk.Rene Uusmees has passion to use local ingredients and introduce Estonia as destination of modern cuisine. Mekk used to be in Old town and was popular among visitors and locals for many years until Covid and now reopened in new location.
On personal recommendation of Chef I took clear fish soup Uhhaa ,moored lamb for second and was not strong enough to skip desert and right I was😇 to enjoy Caramel and Rhubarb cake .
With full confidence I can recommend Mekk for visitors and locals -good quality food-moderately priced in very elegant restaurant…going back with family,friends and guests of Tallinn .

Visited Mekk multiple times for meals during a large corporate event. Choice of food was extensive and catered for all tastes, including accommodating dietary requirements. Staff were all very attentive and kept the place free from dirty plates etc so that there were always tables available. Special mention goes to our server Triin who was very attentive and helpful.

Estonian restaurant, ingridients from local producers.
Visited w my daughter. Was hungry and reading the reviews service should be promt and quick. Well - not in our case . Gentleman waiter may have been unexperienced or just was not attentative. Difficult to get overall waiters attention. We waited our one maincourse dinner really long time. At least an hour. When it finally came it was apologized and told that kitchen had some problems without further explanations. Food was good. A complementary dessert was agreed . We finished the meal quite quickly and waited along time until I was tired that someone would pick the empty plates. Had to ask seperately and asked the bill the same time.No reminder of the dessert. I did not understand what was going on but reading the previous reviews did not match in our case.

Excellent food, superb service!
We had the opportunity to visit the restaurant during the Tallinn restaurant week. The menu was well constructed of fresh local ingredients and well worth the money. Service was friendly and the ambiance of the restaurant was contemporary and cozy. Time flew by accompanied with excellent food and tasty wines and other drinks. We will definitely visit the restaurant again.

When we booked Mekk, we didn't realize it was in a Radisson Hotel, but after we were seated, we had a great experience with great service, interesting menu, tasty dishes, and sampling of local liquor, which we subsequently purchased when we got home. The restaurant is situated in an open atmosphere section just off the lobby separated by a well-stocked bar. Noise was not a problem with only a few patrons when we dined early that night, but we wondered in the open atmosphere would be noisy when they were near full. My wife had a mild fish that was superbly prepared, and I had a meat dish knowing that I would mostly be eating fish and seafood when we moved on to Scandinavia. The restaurant was only a few minutes from Old Town.

The number of options is limited and not all were available when we dined. Avoid the international dishes (burgers are embarrassing), but if you can find the revisited estonian ones, they are worth a try. Very good cocktails. The check is high for the quality and the typical Tallinn prices

Had staycation with my spouse at the hotel and decided to try the Restaurant downstairs. Good choice!
We took chef's winter menu with suggested wines. In the beginning waitress seemed to be busy. Aperitive (prosecco) came at the same time with first course wine.
Bread was really good as always In Estonia. Salmon starter was fresh and good, still nothing really special. However, wine was paired excellent.
Second dish with duck liver was exeptional. Taste of liver with all acids was a great combination and pinot noir fulfilled it.
Main course was duck leg with smashed potato. Again good, not great, but the best part was combination with wine.
Dessert was quite special pudding, not really sure if it was great or average. But again, paired wine really saved it.
Overall, food was close to excellence. Serving was nice and friendly, but more bistro style than fine dining.
Worth of money spent I would say.

My friends and I were met at the reception by the very charming Artem, he took us to the restaurant and invited the waiter Alina. Alina recommended us very good wine and great dishes (we all liked) We recommend this restaurant!! Excellent service and delicious food!

Great food design and great service. I liked the fish starters which was in my view an Estonian Japanese fusion with salmon, herring, quail eggs etc very nice combination.
Also the staff Alina and her colleague were simply hospitable, constantly smiling and generous with their attention to detail. I enjoyed the Friday evening at this restaurant at the Radisson.

Food and service was exquisite: I had a fish selection, quail and a chocolate cake with wild berry ice cream. Ice cream was the best I ever had. Fish was very fresh and quail well done. Alina from Ukraine was serving us and did an amazing job. She even speaks very well Estonian.

The service was very friendly and professional and the food was absolutely delicious. I had a beef fillet steak and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had (and i've had many). In my opinion food was not too pricey, much more affordable than in similar places in Finland.

An exceptional resuraunt, clean, great food and impeccable service. I have eaten here numerous times over my several weeks of visiting Estonia and have never had a bad meal. I visited for 2 weeks in Feb 2024 with a large group on business and the staff were amazing and able to cater for over 200 people daily. Special thanks to Triin who was amazing! Thank you all and see you again soon.

Good place to eat. The decor is ok, as is the food. The wine list is limited and the quality of the wines is not up to the level of the price charged for them.
The service, on the other hand, gets full marks. Our waitress Erika was professional and extremely friendly. A high-quality drink bar also operates in connection with the restaurant.
